-Packaging-

Over the last year or so I have been trying a few anal toys so when I found out I would be getting the “Super Big Guy” from Doc Johnson I was excited and maybe even a little frightened. It arrived in a clear plastic package which displays the toy prominently on the front. It is a clip open folding style package. The back of the packaging lists a few facts about the toy. Overall I really liked the packaging. The colours and style of the packaging give the plug a real professional look. While I know packaging isn’t the main part of a toy it is always nice to see packaging free from over sexualised imagery or phrases.

-Material/Specifications-

My first impression out of the packaging was that the toy was heavy and imposing but also really beautiful to look at. It comes in both blue and charcoal but the charcoal (the colour we got) is really more of a marble effect. The colours swirl and blend together to make interesting patterns. And while it is purely random chance of the manufacturing process; the base has a distinct heart shape where the silicone was poured which is cute. As for the design of the toy, like I said it is imposing to look at. It is very smooth and even has a shiny feel to it but the sheer girth of it is enough to intimidate all butt (excuse the pun) the most experienced players.

The Super Big Guy Butt Plug is made from platinum grade silicone which is great to see with anal toys. Silicone is a very safe material as it is non-porous. It is latex and phthalate free and can be boiled to sterilise. It is completely odourless and tasteless as well. Essentially this means there are no harmful chemicals in it but more importantly it won’t take in bacteria during use.

The toy is called the super big guy for a reason. It has a large circumference shaft that balloons out before dropping down to a tapered neck and flared base. The toy’s specifications are as follows.

-Use-

Being that this toy is very substantial I recommend you warm up first with smaller toys and also that you apply generous amounts of lube. Generally it is thought that you shouldn’t use silicone lube on a silicone toy as it can degrade the toys finish so some water or oil based lubricants are your best bet. Both my wife and I attempted this plug (obviously don’t use a toy vaginally if it has been tried anally as there can be bacteria transfer).

She tried it first and after playing with a variety of toys. From her description she found the shaft very enjoyable as a short but girthy dildo but she couldn’t overcome the flare at the widest point in order to get that plugged up sensation. She did enjoy it and would like to try it again in the future.

As I said above I found this toy to be intimidating but I tried none the less. After some play and a generous amount of lube I tried to insert the toy. I managed the top of the shaft which felt very wide, a little uncomfortable but because of sheer girth and not any flaw in design. I struggled to no avail to get more in but I am simply not experienced enough to manage the toy.

-Care/Storage-

Once you have finished using (or attempting to use) the toy there are a few options available for cleaning. If you want to sterilise it you can boil it in a saucepan for three minutes to completely kill off any surface bacteria. For everyday cleaning you can use warm water and a mild antibacterial soap or specialist toy cleaner. It has the words “DOC JOHNSON” engraved on the base so give it extra attention to make sure no residue gets stuck in the small space. You can even throw it in the top rack of a dishwasher is so inclined.

Make sure the toy is dry before storing it. While the packaging it arrives in would work for storage what my partner and I find work best are zip-seal sandwich bags. These are great because they keep the toy clean and dust free but don’t take up much more space than the toy itself.

-Summary-

In all honesty we both really like this toy. Even though for the moment neither of us could manage it fully it is still a nice toy made from a great material with a really interesting look to it. It is definitely not for beginners and even intermediate players might struggle. If I have a design criticism it would be that the neck (once fully inserted) might be a little wide, so you won’t get that fully closing around it sensation. It has a nice wide base to keep the toy from getting lost but it is flat enough to wear comfortably but the weight of the toy might be an issue for long term wear. As I said the design is great but definitely aimed at advanced players. The finish is beautiful with almost a marble/metallic effect.

If you know you like really girthy toys then this is one for you. It is smooth and shinny so girth is the only obstacle to overcome. If however you are new to anal play, or even fairly experienced then like me this might be too big to insert comfortably.
