Big Man plug review
The Big Man is a good choice for those who know they can take a 2" diameter plug. It stays put during use and is very stimulating, with the dual-textures noticeable if you have a prostate. It's sturdily constructed in 100% silicone for a long life and increased safety.

Pros
Dual-texture construction feels good, plug secure in use, very stimulating, 100% silicone
Cons
The ridges and rapid flare make insertion more difficult.
Doc Johnson's Big Man is a large buttplug that is well-designed and body safe. Made of 100% silicone, the Big Man is well made, with no surface seams or imperfections on my sample.
Like Doc Johnson's Sexy Spades series, the Big Man (and its siblings, the Li'l Man and Super Big Man) suffer from size inflation (or is that deflation?). The middle plug in the series, The Big Man, has a 7" circumference at its widest point - and the smaller Li'l Man isn't much of a step down. The two-sided design, one side with smooth curves, the other with three horizontal ridges, doesn't make this a good plug for training, either, because the rapid increase in circumference combined with the ridges allow little time for adapting. If you are already capable of taking a 2" diameter plug then the Big Man can be an excellent and stimulating choice. Once inserted it's comfortable, though its size means that this plug is anything but unobtrusive. It's very stimulating when you're excited, but I wouldn't choose it for full-day wear as it can get a bit uncomfortable when you're not sexually excited. The base is sturdy enough to keep the plug in place during use or support it standing upright, and is generally pretty comfortable. An oval base would likely be more comfortable for longer term wear, but the circle base isn't too bad. The plug had no tendencies to come out on its own during use, but it did come out comfortably with gentle pushing while tugging on the base.
The Big Man plug is definitely designed for men. Not only is the name not gender-neutral, but the design is clearly optimized for men. The two halves provide different stimulation of the prostate, but both are comfortable and strongly stimulating. Contracting the pelvic muscles while the Big Man is inserted adds to the stimulation, making the Big Man a very large, handsfree prostate massager. I found the plug to be stable during use, keeping whatever side forward that you chose on insertion rather than twisting around on its own. The plug can be rotated while inserted to change the stimulation, though do note that it does not come with any sort of marking on the base to help you figure out which side is which.
Cleanup and storage are easy, as the plug is solid silicone. After use it can be washed with soap and water and sanitized if desired with bleach or by boiling. It is even dishwasher-safe should you want to go that route. Like most silicone toys it does tend to pick up lint, so a plastic bag can help esthetically but is not strictly necessary. It is compatible with all water or oil based lubes, and because of its size you'll want to use plenty of whatever lube you like.
