Crystal jellies butt plug review
A cheap anal toy but you will soon move on to better things. This plug found itself in the trash bin as soon as I bought myself a nicer silicone plug.

Pros
cheap
Cons
Made from jelly. Can not be sterilized. Poor quality.
This was one of my first anal toy purchases. Me and my boyfriend went out shopping for toys to help warm me up and make me relaxed and ready to take is rather large penis. As a complete anal novices we didn't really know what to get but wanted something cheap and none threatening. Something we wouldn't feel bad about throwing away if we ended up not liking it. After allot of consideration we bought, among other things, the Crystal jellies butt plug|Crystal jellies® butt plug. In the package it looked smooth, had a soft squishy feel to it and a nice shape.
Once home and out of the package the first thing I noticed was the chemical smell. Which later I learned are chemicals (phthalates) off gassing from the jelly material. Because of those chemicals you should always use a condom over your jelly toys otherwise those chemicals will transfer through the mucous membranes (in your mouth, vagina, anal canal) and into your body.
The second thing I noticed was that the toy is made from two layers, a soft jelly core and an outer sleeve that is made from a tougher plastic. The plastic sleeve looks like it's couple of sizes too big. It's all floppy around the jelly core.
We tried it a few times and I even managed to get it all inside a couple of times but I never liked the feel of it. The butt plug never felt as smooth and soft as I thought it would feel. Even though I was all ready for action and with a vibrator pressed against my clit I would loose all desire as soon as my boyfriend started to push the plug inside me. Also it's rather large so perhaps not the ideal plug for a beginner. This plug found itself in the trash bin as soon as I bought myself a nicer silicone plug.
Considering that this plug almost put me off anal play|First Anal Sex Toy Experience, I can not recommend it. It's poorly made and from a material that cannot be sterilized, something I think is essential with anal toys|Fantasies about anal sex. Treat yourself to a nice silicone plug instead.

A sleeve? Oh, that's weird. Weird weird weird. I'm glad you've moved on.
-
Yeah some sort of a sleeve. Not removable though. But yes it looked weird.

Phthalates are scary indeed. I have one jelly anal toy, and I always use a condom over it, but I really don't like the feel of it. I love my silicone plugs and anal toys. Thanks for providing some info on phthalates though; there are still a lot of people that are unaware of the health risks involved.

That *is* strange--a hard plastic sleeve OVER the soft jelly??! What an odd design...
-
Dame Demi it's not hard just not as soft as the jelly core but I found it odd as well

My first anal plug was similar to this in design, it was rubber over a softer core and the outside did not fit that well. That was a piece of junk as well and went in the garbage when I picked up something better.

Any certain condoms you'd recommend to use with this?
-
Sleeping Dreamer - any condom will do

The design of this toy sounds ridiculous. Sorry it didn't work out for you.
