Flared, smooth, and safe---does it get any better than that? Throw in a size generous enough to please the novice, but gradual enough for a beginner and it certainly does! Between price and quality you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal than this.

Tantus made a brilliant choice when they went with their platinum medical grade silicone. Besides the complete lack of a smell, it has just enough give for comfort, but is sturdy enough to get the job done right. Being silicone, it can be completely sterilized for a safe experience every time. As with all anal toys, using lube is recommended. With silicone toys you should stick to water-based lubes as some others may react badly with the material. As it can be an issue with other toys, I should point out that I have yet to have an issue with silicone staining. No matter how much we use this, the color has never faded in the least. This is something I absolutely love about it, since a discolored toy can kill a mood rather quickly.

While I'm not new to plugs, I do go for very long periods in between without touching them. After a few months of no anal play in the least I still found this a welcome surprise. The gentle size increase posed no problem, while the decrease after the bulge made for a snug fit. As always, I took it easy on the lube, as my husband enjoys being rough and this can often cause a smaller toy to slip out. Slipping out was definitely not a problem with the Flirt. However, we did find it to be a slight problem that the base was so thick and has an edge---a thicker edge, as opposed to other toys that have a base that basically "fades" off to nothing. We found that if he was too rough the base's edge would dig in with each thrust and actually cause a bit of bruising.

The Flirt's performance in the bedroom was far from disappointing. Aside from the slight bruising, this is a toy that does what a plug should. The size and shape make it a certainty that you will feel it the entire time it's in---something I rather enjoyed and found to be a pleasant change from some of the smaller toys I've had to concentrate on to enjoy. The reason I was so interested in this toy, however, was due to my search for a new plug I can enjoy wearing long term (for example, running short errands). This is where my only real disappointment came about, as again the base posed a problem. It cannot fit snugly between my cheeks as some others do. I would never recommend it to anyone for any length of extended wear.

Silicone could not be easier to clean. Whether you prefer soap and water, toy cleaner, or boiling your toys, this one can handle it---thus it is 100% sterilizable. I would highly recommend keeping it in a toy bag or something equally dust free when not in use as it is a dust magnet.

There was nothing special about the packaging. It wasn't discreet, and wasn't anything that can be kept or reused for anything I can think of. It was just some plastic that we made sure to recycle.

As I stated earlier - this toy's base cannot fit snugly between my cheeks as some others do. After some consideration I decided to give long term wear a try as to have something more substantial to base my review on for anyone else considering this. I decided to wear it to run a short errand that involved a 10 minute drive there, walking around a store for all of 5 minutes, and a 10 minute drive back. By the time I got to the store I had to remove it so as to not risk walking around as if I had just spent the day riding a horse. Sitting on the Flirt is NOT comfortable due to the base. Every tiny bump along the drive was felt very strongly. If the base was one that gradually faded to nothing I'm certain it would have been an amazing ride. Since that is not the case I would not recommend this to anyone. All in all it was a horrible experience that led to more bruising. I still stand by it for bedroom use, but would also go with another toy if you are into rough, doggie style sex, or anything else that would cause pounding on the base too hard for pleasure.
