I love butt plugs. I love the feeling of being stuffed by an object in that forbidden back hole. Sometimes, I’ll wear a butt plug out in public for the added thrill of hiding a naughty secret in my bottom! One of my favorite plugs is the Lovense Hush Plug, a black, silicone, 1.75” diameter plug that fits comfortably between my cheeks. When I saw the Spade Advanced Butt Plug, I was excited to see that it was also listed as 1.75” with a T-shaped base for maximized comfort. However, the actual plug was larger than expected. At 2” in diameter, the Spade Plug should be reserved for only the most advanced anal enthusiasts.



This is probably not the best toy for everyday wear, but it is a great plug for those days when you want an added challenge! Your partner will likely drool at the sight of you stretching your back hole and struggling to insert such a big toy!

One of the issues I’ve had with silicone in the past is that the material holds onto that butt smell. While I’ve only used this toy a few times, it does not have any discernible smell.

The stem of the toy is significantly smaller than the bulbous insertable. The stem will twist and bend easily, so you can find just the right angle when inserting the toy!

The Spade plug is in the shape of a spade, one of the suits in a deck of cards. I thought the product design was adorable. The base of the plug is T-shaped, which ensures the plug won’t get sucked into your butt. One side of the T-shaped base is wider than the other. I found that the wider part sat better closer to my vaginal opening so the skinnier side could nestle between my butt cheeks.



This plug is very short and stout. While some plugs have long, tapered tips, the Spade plug looked more like a sphere with a cone tip. This lack of a tapered tip made insertion more difficult since my bottom needed to adjust to the intrusion all at once.



While the product page listed this product as 1.75” in diameter, the actual diameter was 2”. While I have easily taken 1.75” plugs into my bottom, I had great difficulty inserting this large plug. My favorite plug is the njoy Pure Plug in size Large, which is 1.5". I think this 1.5" diameter is the perfect diameter for my body, so the 2" diameter was really pushing it.

My butt was not ready for such an intrusion. I began with a large amount of water-based lube coating the surface of the toy. I started slow and easy, inching the toy forward. At about the halfway point, I needed to add more lube. As I mentioned earlier, since the plug gets wider all at once, it is hard for my body to relax to let the plug slip in. I must have added more lube about four separate times. My bed sheets were soaked with lube. When I inserted the widest part of the toy, I felt like I was at the top of a rollercoaster, my hole was stretched so wide, and there was a big drop on the other side.

The first time I tried out this plug I couldn’t even get it in all the way. However, the second time I tried, my butt was more relaxed. I enjoyed the stretching sensation immensely. I felt deliciously full and super naughty for putting something so big in my bum. In fact, the day after I tried out this plug, I could still feel the reminder of the plug stretching my hole. I found this reminder super sexy.

Silicone toys are super easy to care for. I washed my plug with antibacterial soap and warm water. However, since the plug does not have any electrical components, you can boil the plug or throw it in the dishwasher for a deeper clean. Whatever cleaning method you choose, just make sure the toy is completely dry before storing it.

This toy arrived in a simple plastic bag. I liked that I could see the spade-shape of the toy right away through the packaging. No instructions were included, nor were they needed.
