Multiply by Infinity

The Infinity by Tantus will bring you infinite amounts of anal pleasure for infinite time. Tantus has done it again and created an innovative and unique silicone plug with some awesome curves for intermediate to advanced users. Despite an annoying pokey base, it still does its intended purpose incredibly well, as long as you stay still. Made of ultra hygienic, medium-firm silicone, this will definitely be a favorite for a long time to come.

Use

The Infinity is an intermediate level buttplug, due to the shape and size of the body (see below). This is great for those beginners that want to step up to the next level, or advanced users who want to warm up to larger anal-safe toys.

Because of the length of the neck, the lack of difference in the size of the body and the neck, and the extreme discomfort of the base, this is only a short-term length plug. It can be worn during your favorite flavor of sex, masturbation, sitting around the house, whatever. That said, I suggest not wearing it if you're going to be a lot of walking or moving, as the base is uncomfortable during movement.

I found that a double penetration situation was difficult, due to the shape and size of the plug, unless with a very slim dildo or vibrator. Your mileage may vary, of course, depending on your body. I thrusted a little with this toy, but as it's a plug and meant to be inserted and stay put, thrusting shouldn't be the main course.

Material / Texture

This toy is ultra smooth, with no visible seams, shimmery, shiny, silky hygienic silicone. It's not matte silicone, so this will, as usual, attract lint like no other, so a rinse off before use is required.

As ultra premium silicone, it is nonporous, tasteless, odorless, phthalates- and latex-free, making it ultra safe for anal. There are no nooks or crannies for goop (of any color or viscosity) to get caught. It does, like a lot of silicone, seem to smell of eau d'ass after use, but if you use a slightly scented soap or cleaning spray, it goes right away.

Tantus silicone is medium-firm, so it has a very slight squish or give, but not much, and it's only flexible in the neck. This is actually great! It's not flimsy or floppy, but will massage your insides without irritating. With the size, and the medium-firmness of the material, this is definitely only for the intermediate to the advanced.

Design / Shape / Size

Shaped something like an on-edge infinity sign, the Infinity looked gargantuan to me. I said to myself when I opened it, "There is no way I'm going to take this into my butt." The widest spot is right at the beginning, so there's no gently sloping taper, or anything like that. There is a nice little "rest stop," or narrower point that is great for getting used to the larger size, before continuing on to the next bulge. I think this design is ingenious; it gives a fuller feeling than, like, the Ace Small, while still not being overly large.

How's about some measurements? The base measures in at 2.25" long, .38" thick, and 1.5" wide at the widest points and 1.25" wide at the narrowest point in the middle. It is, in total, 4" long, with 3.75" insertable. The first bulge (from the top to the narrowest point) is 1.5" long and 1.25" in diameter (4" in circumference), the narrowest point (aka the "rest stop") is 1" in diameter (3" in circumference), and the second bulge is the same diameter as the first, but .25" shorter, at 1.25" long. The neck is 1" long and .75" in diameter, making it an overall comfortable toy. (Goodness, that's a lot of numbers.)

Performance

The only downside to this plug is the shape or manufacture of its base. The curves sit nicely between the cheeks, but the points to which the curves come to dig into your butt. My butt is fleshy, but upon reading all the other reviews of other Tantus toys with this kind of base, it seems to affect everyone. That said, it's not such a flaw that I would avoid the plug altogether. The plug seems to be more meant to be used while watching a movie, as opposed to walking the dogs.

I love the shape of this toy. It's filling without being overly so, yet it's slim enough to be comfortable. It's an ingenious design, and I have yet to see anything like it, other than the Infinity Royal, of course.

Care and Maintenance

The Infinity (not to mention all silicone toys) is remarkably easy to care for. You can use soap and hot water or antibacterial toy cleaner for everyday cleanings, if you're not sharing, boil it for 3-5 minutes, use a 10% bleach solution wipe-down, or toss it in the dishwasher (top rack, no soap) every once in awhile or between sharing. Use a condom if sharing in the same session.

Water based lube only, or do a test on the base for silicone-based lubes, if you are so inclined.

Store away from any lint, and away from other materials that may harm your gorgeous Infinity. I keep mine in its own Ziploc bag when I'm not using it. It doubles as a lint roller!

Packaging

This hot bubblegum pink shocker was packaged in the standard Tantus plastic rectangular prism with a clear plastic insert with the toy in it. As only my second Tantus toy, I was rather surprised that the only thing indicating that my toy was the Infinity was a barcode on the back and the toy itself. Anyway, it shows the Infinity on virtually all sides, thus making it not discreet, and boasts silicone's wonderfulness. It's not good for storage, so just recycle it.

Personal comments

I never had any issues with it popping or slipping out, but during extreme exertion (during particularly intense/active sex, for example), it may slip out. Based on the shape, it won't rocket across the room (no sign indicating "Beware of Flying Butt Plugs" necessary), it will just slip out and fall.

I cannot describe enough how pointy the pointy parts on the base are. I read the other reviews before I had tried it out, and thought to myself, "Eh, it won't be a problem for me." But, au contraire, it is a problem, though not one to completely detract from the rest of the toy. They look so harmless, too. It is really the only downside to the toy, but it's such a big downside, that I have to mark it one less star. It would be perfect if it had the base of, say, Ryder or even just a normal ol' T-shape, it would be absolutely perfect! I found that if I sat still and didn't wiggle around, it wouldn't hurt, but the moment I stood up, it was like "Ow, ow, ow!"

Objectively, this is a 4 star toy.
Subjectively, this is also a 4 star toy.
Follow-up commentary
It's not that I no longer use it, but it's just not my favorite. I don't use it too often, just because of that extremely uncomfortable base. My cheeks are often sore after using it, sometimes for a few hours!

I love the shape of the body, I really do. But the awesome shape isn't worth the butt cheek pain, to me. I don't grab for it as often as I do other plugs. Of course, it's still holding up very well. I just hate that damn base!

@Cynthia It only hurts your cheeks, not your actual buttbutt. Heh, "buttbutt"

@bzzingbee I agree! I want the base completely redesigned. I've read, somewhere, of someone cutting off the corners, but I'm too afraid of doing it.

@Lauren Thanks! I strive for completeness!

Too bad about the base. The A-Bomb has a wonderful base, the Ryder is pretty good, so I don't know why Tantus doesn't use that style in all their plugs.
