The Royal Intruder is a beautiful, incredibly smooth plug, crafted of Pyrex Glass. It is intended for anal penetration, but could also foreseeably be utilized for vaginal penetration, and careful, shallow thrusting. Being made of glass, it's also an excellent tool for temperature play, and can be heated up or cooled down accordingly for a little extra sensation. It would also make a great warm up tool, as a prelude to larger toys. It's a decently sized & shaped plug for beginners to intermediate users. However, while insertion is a breeze, retention can become a bit tricky because of its bulged shaft.

Made of transparent royal blue Pyrex Glass, the Intruder is non-porous, hypo-allergenic, and both phthalates & latex free. The material is completely hard, which assists in making insertion easy, and allows you to constantly feel the plug while in use. It's firm and solid, yet extremely comfortable. Other than the natural contours of the Royal Intruder's body, the surface of the plug features no texture whatsoever. It is pleasantly smooth, and slides in almost effortlessly with a little lubricant.

The Royal Intruder is 3 1/2" in total length, 3" insertable, and 1 1/4" in diameter at the widest points of its shaft. It features a unique design that may, unfortunately, make this particular plug difficult for some users to wear. To elaborate: The first 2/3 of the toy is a teardrop shaped head. It begins in a rounded point, widens to the full 1 1/4" width, before diminishing into a 7/8" neck. That first 2/3 is pure bliss. Wonderful for easy, gradual insertion as the wearer becomes accustomed to the Intruder's size. The last 1/3 of the toy is where you may encounter trouble. After that first dip, the Intruder blossoms out to another 1 1/4" bulb, which happens to be rather close to the base of the toy. It dips into the last, and final, 7/8" neck before widening into a 1 1/2" base. The design flaw here is that the second bulb is so close in proximity to the base, without enough of a neck in between, that the plug tends to pop out. Often it will slip back to that first little dip after the teardrop top, and sometimes wiggle its entire length out altogether. If there had been a bit more space between the second bulge and the base, it would make this plug worlds easier to wear. That said, the size and softly tapered head make this an excellent choice for a beginner. You just may want to consider keeping your Royal ass at home when wearing this toy, rather than risk dropping & shattering an otherwise lovely piece of glass.

The Royal Intruder is a good plug, that is a little difficult to keep in. Because of the troublesome bulge right before the base, your anus doesn't really have much to grab onto, which therefore makes this toy difficult to wear. Walking is completely out of the question, as the weight of the plug combined with the unfortunate design allows it to slide unexpected out of place. You may physically need to hold it in with your hand if you plan to move around in any capacity. The best way to use this plug would be while laying or sitting down. It is lovely to wear while at the computer, or watching a movie, and does not induce any discomfort. You should also consider running the plug under cool or warm water beforehand, for some fun added sensations. Glass retains heat and cold very well, and would be beautiful for experimenting with anal temperature play. It should be a good fit for most beginners, and would be an excellent tool for those needing to prep for bigger, badder things.

Since the Royal Intruder is made of non-porous Pyrex Glass, cleanup is a snap. Suds it up with some antibacterial soap and warm water for everyday care, or alternatively, you could use a well loved toy cleaner. You should sanitize before switching orifices (ie: anus to vagina), or before sharing with a partner. To do so, wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution, boil it for a few minutes, or toss it in the top rack of your dishwasher, sans the soap. It is safe to use with water, oil, and silicone based lubricants. Store it in a safe, dry place, away from the light.

The plug came nestled safely in a gorgeous purple faux suede drawstring pouch. The inside is lined in pink satin, and the drawstrings are thick, braided black cords. It's a really posh little bag, absolutely perfect for storing your plug, or perhaps some larger toys instead. The generously sized pouch is 10" in total length, 9" when the bag is closed, and 5" wide. It could fit one or two vibes, a large dildo, or just the Royal Intruder, if you feel like spoiling the small fry. There were no instructions included with the plug, but honestly, what would they say? "Stick it in your ass. Enjoy."
