The Rump Shakers small is a slender vibrating butt plug that offers remote control and is a good place to start for anal beginners. Although I'm sure the vibrating function could be used elsewhere on the body, this plug is meant to be inserted anally, and can be used by men or women. It would be perfect for those who are easing into anal play, due to the size. The plug is good for solo use, but my favorite way to use it is with my boyfriend as a warm up for anal sex.

The plug is made out of rubber, and has a completely smooth texture. Because this toy is intended for beginner use, there are no bumps or ridges, so those looking for that kind of stimulation should look elsewhere. The rubber is firm but not too hard. Being new to anal play, I wanted to avoid using anything too rigid, but this plug had enough give for me.

As the toy is mostly made of rubber, it does not clean well, and I'd recommend using a condom with each use.

The design of this product is nothing extraordinary. It's exactly what I would expect from a beginner's butt plug. It's very plain, and the colors that it is available in are bland as well. I would call it boring if it wasn't what I was looking for, but I bought it because it looked so non-intimidating.

When I received the plug, it was even smaller than I had expected, but I was actually relieved. I think that it's the perfect size for a first plug. It can be inserted up to four inches, and is very slender. The first time I used it, I noticed that because the plug is so narrow to begin with, it tapers to almost a point, which was a tiny bit uncomfortable during insertion, but that might have been because I skipped any other kind of anal play and went right into playing with my new toy. I didn't have a problem with it after that, though.

Because the toy is so small, it's easy to hide, but I'd be sure to take the batteries out or unplug the remote because the dial does tend to turn itself on.

Also, while the base is wide enough to ensure safe play, the neck is either not thin enough, or the body doesn't flare quite wide enough, because the plug tends to slip out if unattended. I understand that it's so small because it's for beginners, but I have to either hold it in with my hand or sit on it in order for it to not slip out.

The only function that this toy serves is vibration, but it feels amazing. The vibrations can be felt throughout the plug, and are faster than the vibrations in other toys that I've used. They range from a light buzzing to pretty powerful, which I found to be very satisfying.

The vibrations are controlled through a dial, found on a remote that is connected to the bottom of the plug by a wire. The remote is very convenient and easy to use, although an 'on/off' button would be nice, because otherwise the toy starts to vibrate with just the slightest turn of the dial.

Because of the more-intense-than-usual vibrations, there is a bit more noise. It would be very obvious from under the covers, and it might be heard through a closed door.

Again, this toy is made of rubber, which is porous, and therefore difficult to clean. You might want to use a condom with this toy with each use. It is compatible with silicone and water based lubricants.
