The Duke fits right in around my anal toy hierarchy

The Fun Factory Duke represents a new way of thinking for anal toys. The shape and design makes for an pleasurable experience and feels great during use. One of the great things about the Duke is that it is rechargeable, no more buying batteries! There are a few cons but the pros far out weight them in my mind.

extremely useful review
Duke; "A duke can be either a monarch ruling over a duchy or a member of the nobility, historically of highest rank below the monarch." Funny how this fits so well for the Duke, while it is not the Monarch of my toy box of anal toys it does sit pretty high up there.

Duke, from Fun Factory, is a rechargeable silicone prostate massager suitable for intermediate users. Beginners may be able to use it too but the shape could make it hard to use for those new to anal play, plus it is a bit bigger than what I would suggest for newbie’s. For those accustomed to anal toys this could be a good choice, its unique shape provides for an interesting experience and the different vibration patterns and intensities will please most.

Let us see what this member of nobility has to offer, eh? First up we will look at what all comes with the Duke.

Two boxes are shipped to you; one with the toy and one with the magnetic charger.

Inside the box with the massager you get the toy, an instruction booklet and a packet of Toyfluid lubricant. The box has a magnetic flap that allows you to fully see the toy through the clear plastic front when opened, although when closed you can still see part of the toy. Under the massager is a thin cardboard insert that has a small cutout so you can lift it to find the instructions and sample packet of lube. The lube is pretty thin but will get you going once the vibe is charged.

The charger box has the charger and instruction booklet. You might be wondering why this box comes separate, right? Well folks, that's because the fine folks at Fun Factory are in Germany. Over there they have different electrical outlets than we have here in the states. As such, they send the appropriate plug in. It sure is nice to think that if you were to travel abroad you could get a charger so you could charge your toy, right?

"Did you say magnetic charger?" Yup, you read that right. This toy comes with a charger that attaches magnetically, not only do the magnets attach the charger to the toy but they also allow the current to pass through them to charge the toy. When the charger is plugged into the wall a small LED light turns red to let you know you have power. When the small round end (with the magnets) is attached to the vibe the Fun Factory logo lights up in red to let you know that the toy is charging.

This is where one of my only complaints comes from. Now, if you read around the forum it is general knowledge that the magnets can be finicky at times. You have to find just the right position for the toy and charger to work right. I have the Yooo so I know this all too well. This one though adds to the problem by the design, if you notice in the first picture up above the charger is placed at an angle; almost too much of an angle if you ask me. This makes it even harder to get it to charge. I have to set the toy down and use something to hold the charger down on the toy to get it to work right half the time. A rubber band works pretty well for this.

The silicone is pretty soft and supple, so soft that without the vibe inserted it can be hard to insert into the anus. The silicone has a wonderful matte finish which holds onto lube well. It is a lint/hair magnet but a quick rinse before use takes care of that. I like to rinse with warm water as a warm toy is more pleasurable.

The Duke has three steady vibes; low, medium and high along with three different vibration patterns. Nothing earth shaking but pleasurable for sure, they are pretty quiet too. I find they can be felt all over the toy but more so around the prostate which is where you want them, right? You simply hold down the on/off button for a few seconds to start the vibe and then press it again to cycle through the vibe options. To turn it off you press and hold for a few seconds.

Cleaning is straight forward for silicone toys, 10% bleach, and boiling, antibacterial soap or toy cleaners work fine. The vibe needs to be removed before cleaning as it is not waterproof. For the vibe I use an Eden toy wipe.

Water and oil based lube only, this Duke does not do well with silicone lubes.
Experience
The shape is pretty unique and I have not seen anything like it in the anal world. It does take some fancy maneuvering to insert it but nothing to hard. Once you have the wing inserted, you have to press down and apply pressure to get it to slid in. Experienced anal players will have no problems but those with less experience may find some warm up with another toy an easier way to go. The "Wing" as I call it, acts like an anchor in the rectum and also pushes the main body of the toy against the prostate. I find it works good too when turned so that the wing is providing the P-spot stimulation. Furthermore, when used backwards, I find it more comfortable to wear when walking around as it better hugs the the butt crack.

As to my other con for this toy; my ass can get pretty hungry at times, joys of being a size king I guess. Anyway, during my first use the toy actually slid in past the vibe so all I had sticking out was the perineum part. Now I was manipulating the toy to provide more pressure so this may be why it went in but still, it would be nice if the vibe was longer or it had more material around that area to prevent this. What I do now is just leave the vibe out some instead of inserting it all the way. Along with this, the control button can be hard to find and press since it is so close to the body of the toy. Here's a picture to show y'all what I mean.

It would have been better if the on/off/control button was in a different location like the bottom of the toy.

That reminds me, the vibe can be stubborn to get out at times as the fit is tight. A drop of lube or some corn starch will help out here.

In conclusion, I am pretty happy with the Duke. It does a good job at staying in during sex and walking around, provides great stimulation to the prostate and is sized good for those experienced with anal play.
