The Bubble Butt Twisty by Doc Johnson is a butt plug with a twist. It reminds me of soft serve ice cream with its cork screw shape. The size is small enough to not be intimidating for beginners, but if you have never tried anal play before, I suggest you start with something simple with no texture. I typically don't like anal play, but wanted to try it and this seemed like a fun design. I imagined starting out slow and being able to twist this in, kind of like a screw. It did work that way, but I just couldn't get comfortable with it. I tried warming up with a finger, but I just don't know if anal play is going to be something I will be able to enjoy. I am not saying this toy in particular isn't good for beginners, but I think I need something much more simple to start out. Add to that, this wouldn't stay in. I was going to grin and bear it for my hubby and try using this during sex, but it wouldn't stay put. It kept sliding out and I was too worried about a mess to enjoy it.

This plug is made out of Sil-A-Gel, a PVC rubber material that has been treated to make it antibacterial. The box says it is a non-toxic formula that is latex free and cadmium free. This site says that it is semi-porous so I wouldn't recommend sharing this unless you use a condom. Same goes for if you decide you want to feel this in your vagina after you have had it in your butt. The smell is strong and I imagine it doesn't taste good either. I have washed it several times and let it air out, but it still smells and the smell lingers on my hands. It is firm enough to insert, but is giving enough not to hurt someone who is used to anal play. I am new to it though, so I used LOTS of lube and went very slow. I still found it uncomfortable, and maybe if it hadn't kept slipping out, I could have relaxed my muscles and got used to it, but that was not the case. Also, it feels a bit sticky and that also makes it hard to get in a plastic baggy.

I liked the design initially. It looks fun, and I thought it would feel nice being slowly twisted. It wasn't bad, but like I said, I still have some work to do before I will able to enjoy anal play at all. I wish it would have stayed in so I could at least try and get used to the feeling. Oh well, lesson learned I guess. Maybe I will be able to enjoy it one day.

This plug wasn't too hard to insert, but it wouldn't stay in. It is hard for me to say if this works like it is supposed to, because I didn't enjoy it. I imagine someone who likes anal play would be able to enjoy the texture of this one. It does have a suction cup base and it works really well. I just haven't used it in that way. I did test it out and it sticks to my desk as well as the shower wall really well. In fact, it is a bit hard to remove and makes a loud popping sound when it does come off.

Cleaning is easy. Just warm water and mild antibacterial hand soap will do. You can also use toy cleaner, but remember that this toy is porous so bacteria can get trapped. There is no way to sterilize it, so using condoms would be the safest and easiest thing to do. You can use water or silicone based lubes. I store mine in a plastic sandwich bag, though if you use a bit or cornstarch, this will be a lot easier. Otherwise, the toy will stick to the bag and make it irritating to get in and out of the bag.
