Padded easy eyes leather blindfold by Sinvention - review by Loriandhubby

Catching up on my reviews I realized I had never reviewed my favorite blindfold/eyeshades. When I went to write my review, I realized that they are discontinued. I was disappointed. However, in case these great eyeshades come back to Eden, I want to share my experience with these eyeshades.

I am not a huge fan of wearing things on my face. If Hubby does not want me to see what he’s doing, he just tells me to keep my eyes closed. However, when he ordered this blind I was excited to try them out. Everything about them was different from other blindfolds me have tried. The minimal design was intriguing.

Uniquely designed the Padded Easy Eyes Blindfold has a minimal design. This blindfold comprises of a single strap that holds two padded disks for your eyes and a buckle. At only a half of an inch in width, the strap is comfortable on your face and head. In addition, it does not easily tangle in my long hair while we play. The eye pads are about the size of a half of a dollar. These pads have two slits for the head strap to weave through. This allows the pads to be adjusted along the strap for the perfect fit. In addition, the strap does not feel awkward or bulky across your nose.

The eye pads are two leather disks which are filled with foam. The foam is cut a bit smaller than the leather sleeve. They sit right over your eye without poking into them. However, some reviewers have noted that the disks tend to press uncomfortable on their eyes. Fortunately, I have not had this problem. I have noticed that if the strap is extra snug they do press into me and cause a bit of discomfort. This is rarely a problem for us, since I don’t like the strap to tight on my head. It stays perfectly in place with it adjusted snuggly but not tight.

Completely functional, this blindfold makes things nice and dark. The eye pads are shaped perfectly to sit flat against your face. This keeps all light from peaking in around the edges.

This blindfold is perfect for sensation play but is even better for bondage games. The minimal design and the leather go along great with role playing. Wearing this blindfold you feel a complete loss of knowing what is going on around you. It is utterly amazing!

Made from quality leather, this blindfold is comfortable to wear. The leather is plush and subtle against your face. The leather feels like a fine pair of gloves. The craftsmanship is superb and the sewing with without flaws.

Since this is a blindfold it should not require a lot of care. To ensure it does not collect dust and dirt, don’t toss it to on the floor after you play. If it should need to be spot cleaned it can be cleaned with mild soap and water on a cloth. As an alternative, it can be cleaned with leather cleaner; follow the directions on the package. If the leather becomes dry or cracked, it can be conditioned with your choice of leather conditioner. Be aware, using a generous amount of conditioner may cause the leather to become slick feeling. Also, if your blindfold ever becomes wet or damp be sure to completely dry it.

Storage should be simple. Just fold it up and tuck it away in your drawer or toy box. To ensure that the leather does not mildew, store it in such a way that the leather can breathe and in a damp free area.

Over all, this is a great blindfold. It feels great on your face and is not intrusive or awkward. The leather is soft against my skin and I really don’t mind wearing it for extended periods of time. We have tried other blindfolds and they just feel weird to me. They are fun for a onetime thing, but not to use again. With this blindfold it is a whole different story. For bondage play, I absolutely love wearing it. It has that bondage feel and really makes me feel loss of control. When I wear it, I know Hubby is in complete control. Best of all, Hubby likes the way it looks on me. What more could I ask for?

I really do enjoy these eye shades. It's bitter sweet. I am sad to see so many quality leather items being discontinued. However, I look very forward to see the new lines Eden adds.
