A Necessary Evil

These are a bit expensive for 12 pads, but they are a necessary evil if you need more pads for your Fetish Fantasys shock therapy kit. Though, it might be nice if there were more than 12 for the price. Overall, if properly cared for, they are a decent buy.

Use

This set of 12 oval, 2.5" x 1.5" pads is meant to go with the Fetish Fantasys Shock Therapy Kit. I just recently got that and have had some fun with it, and my partner got a kick out of it as well. This is for sensory play, it is great solo and for a partner. This could also be used for cbt, but should not be worn on the chest. There is some controversy in the BDSM community about use of electro products on the chest, and it is something I would not advise doing just for the sake of safety. Also, if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker, etc. you should not use the shock therapy kit that this is meant for. If you are into medical play, you could have some fun with this as well. This could also be used to relax or stimulate aching muscles.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

I think these pads could be better. I think they are necessary, as you will likely be needing some down the road if you own the shock therapy kit. However, they could be sturdier. When removing them from the wire connectors that on the controller,

They will fit anyone, and there is a lot that can be done with them - there are many possibilities! There is no info on the adhesive that I could find, however. There was no info on the gel on these pads when I bought the shock therapy kit, and there is no info with the replacement pads either.

Performance

These work well, and I have had no issues with the pads, even though I have sensitive skin. The adhesive on the back is not like a sticky glue, and it does not hurt to remove them from the skin - it is not at all like removing a bandage, if that is something you are worried about! They gel on them is just that, a gel. It isn't runny or anything, but it is like a jelly consistency that is sticky to the touch. Almost like a rubber cement, or some other sort of jelly-like product. It is clear and has not scent.

They snap onto the wires that are a part of the shock therapy kit, and they snap on easily. However, removing them from the wires is a bit more difficult. They aren't really difficult to remove, but I feel like I could damage them every time I try to unsnap them from the wire connecters. The pads that came with my kit originally have gotten a fair amount of use so far, and they have not ripped or gotten damaged really, just the plastic backing on the pads looks a bit folded and bent in some places from removing them wires.

Care and Maintenance

These are easy to care for. If used on clean, dry skin, they will hold up well to use and reusing. The box they come in is not discreet, but good for storage. They also come in small paired-off bags inside of the box, which also makes them easy to store. If you have a place where you keep all of your toys or electro gear, these will fit in easily.

Packaging

These are packaged in a box that is very indiscreet, but minimal and recyclable. When my partner saw the box, without me even telling him what it was, he just read "FETISH" out loud, as it is in big capital letters on many sides of the package. If you plan on having these out somewhere, or somewhere that they could be seen, you may want to remove them from this box. The box itself, is very small though. So if you wish to keep it for storage, you can, so as to keep all of the pads in one place.

As for the packaging of the pads themselves, they are conveniently packaged inside of the not-discreet box. They are 6 small bags, with 2 in each. They are packaged in conveniently bagged pairs.

    • Not discreet
    • Recyclable
Follow-up commentary
I still like these, but I've already had to start using them. The pads that came with the shock therapy device itself wore out too much. The more I think about it, the more expensive I think these are for just 12 pads; especially given that financially, things have gotten very difficult for me recently. I'm not sure that given the price of the replacement pads this is something I'll want to use all that often. The price of replacement pads might end up making this something that is more of a treat/special occasion kind of thing in my bedroom.
