I am not sure what metal type it is, but it is not heavy and hasn't seem to rusted yet. There is also a metal ring toward the top where I assume the feathers are connected.

The craftsmanship is not amazing because it is plastic. Like I said, we're always searching for the next best feather teaser. When we saw LELO's feather teaser and whip, we were hoping the handle was glass. However, this plastic is sturdy, and as a clumsy couple we have dropped this feather teaser onto our tile bedroom floor at least twice with no breakage. Slight scratching but as long as it didn't crack or break, I'll be glad to keep this guy around.

The performance is fantastic. I feel kind of silly saying this, but I think I love this being used more than my wife. I shiver when she tickles my balls with the feathers, or runs these up and down my thighs and back. My wife prefers them used on her neck and near her ears and her breasts. Not so much on her pussy or anywhere else, really.

You mainly just want to be careful not to get these feathers wet, which is common sense if you have ever owned a feather tickler. This teaser comes in a thick, grey LELO box similar to all of their toys. The box is identical to the box for the Sensua Suede Whip. Very discreet and looks just like a jewelry box according to my wife. I think it looks like a jewelry box too. If I didn't know that "LELO" isn't a jewelry store, I would think a necklace was inside.

One thing I tried the other day was wrapping this in a DRY towel (so it doesn't get wet) and putting it in the freezer for ten minutes before use. When it is cool it feels so much more amazing.
