The design of this toy is similar to LELO's Sensua Suede Whip. It has the tacky yet somehow strong plastic handle. The metal ball at the end for help on gripping. I am not sure what metal type it is, but it is not heavy and hasn't seem to rusted yet. There is also a metal ring toward the top where I assume the feathers are connected.

The craftsmanship is not amazing because it is plastic. Like I said, we're always searching for the next best feather teaser. When we saw LELO's feather teaser and whip, we were hoping the handle was glass. However, this plastic is sturdy, and as a clumsy couple we have dropped this feather teaser onto our tile bedroom floor at least twice with no breakage. Slight scratching but as long as it didn't crack or break, I'll be glad to keep this guy around.

The performance is fantastic. I feel kind of silly saying this, but I think I love this being used more than my wife. One thing I tried the other day was wrapping this in a DRY towel (so it doesn't get wet) and putting it in the freezer for ten minutes before use. When it is cool it feels so much more amazing.
