This is a two-piece BDSM set intended for light play, whether you are exploring the idea of BDSM with your partner or even by yourself. Seasoned practitioners will definitely not appreciate the quality, simplicity, and strength delivered by this product. With that said, this is much more suited for a complete novice who is not looking to cause pain and may even be a bit shy when it comes to being adventurous.

This is a very inexpensive piece, and the quality is just so-so. You get what you paid for, but the set definitely looks nicer than it actually performs.

The leopard print fabric used on the mask and the handle of the whip is made out of polyester material. The elastic strap on the mask is also polyester and is quite thick. Although it is stretchy, this mask is made extremely small, so I found the strap to be very tight and irritating. I really don't think this will fit the average user; however, the elastic should soften and lengthen over time and repeated use. I did like that the mask is molded to fit comfortably over your eyes and nose, which is the only saving grace with this piece being as tight as it is. In a relaxed state, I measured this to be just about 19" in circumference, and managed to stretch it to 23" before I noticed it starting to come apart where it was glued down.

The mask is lined with a foamy material called EVA (Ethylene-vinyl acetate). It is very soft, light, and extremely pliable. The downside is that this absorbs make-up like crazy. If you are a woman who wears any sort of make-up on your face, then it will end up on the inside of the mask. That was not a very attractive thing to see once taking the mask off for the first time.



The straps of the whip are made of PU (polyurethane), which is typically used as a cheaper alternative to leather. This sort of material is often used on furniture because it is cheaper, easier to clean, and will not get worn over time and use as does real leather. The downside is that it is extremely light, making the possibility of a good whipping difficult.

As mentioned in the previous section, the fabric used for the whip's tassels is extremely light. I could barely feel anything upon having this whipped across the fleshiest part of my body that I had access to (my thighs). The only real sensation you will get out of this is with the very tips of the tassels, which can provide a light to moderate sting depending on your/your partner's strength and accuracy. However, that is difficult to achieve because of the lack of concentration; the tassels just fly all over the place, and you will be lucky if you get most of them to land against your flesh.

Being a woman, I am naturally a bit sensitive, but I'm pretty sure that average-sized man would feel no more than a tickle from this whip since their pain tolerance is generally higher.

Because of the quality of this product, I am slightly nervous about cleaning this by means of soaking and washing. You can take a damp rag with soap and clean it gently that way. The material of the whip tassels is more durable, and you will not have to be as gentle with those, but I would caution against getting this toy wet where it is merely held together by glue.

You are going to want to store this someplace where it will not be smashed, whether that is inside its original packaging or not. The mask is very flimsy, and the foam-like material will take on indentations and deformations very easily.

This set comes in a non-discreet cardboard box with a picture of sexy model displaying the product on it. It wouldn't be a huge loss to toss this box if you were afraid of it being found, as it does not provide that great of storage, and it does not give any useful information other than the product material. It does not tell you whether or not any part of this is recyclable, but I'm assuming the box should be.

I am a bit torn about this product. I was really looking forward to trying it, and I think it's absolutely adorable, but I'm not happy that I won't be getting any real use out of it. Between the uncomfortable tightness of the mask, and the light-weight whip, this wasn't worth it to me. I am a novice to using whips and things of that nature, but I was still expecting a bit more from this set and hoping for more intensity. I'm almost tempted to say this wasn't worth the price tag, but since the other reviewers spoke more highly of it, I won't say that this set is a lost cause overall. It is much more suited for roleplaying than it is for getting into BDSM.

I'm giving it 4 stars with that in mind, though my personal rating of usefulness and quality would be about a 2.5 or 3.
