Bondage for Beginners

If you are looking to add a bit of restraint to your bedroom play, but are intimadated by leather and chains, the Elastibind Cuffs by Sex and Mischief are a great option. Easy to use and comfortable to wear, these are great for beginners or anyone looking for a little play time. They can be used in many different positions, and with an attached D-ring, the possibilities become exponential. If you are experience, and looking for heavy bondage, look elsewhere.

extremely useful review
The Sex and Mischief Elastabind Cuffs by Sportsheets are well-made and fun to play with. Made from sturdy elastic, these cuffs measure in around 8 inches by 5 inches, and are sewn down the middle, giving you two "holes," one for each wrist. The seam is solid, and even with some pulling mine hasn't started to break (that being said, if you try to snap this seam, I'd guess you'd be able to with little trouble). One the front, there is a small nylon strap with a D-ring attached, which allows you to hook these cuffs onto any number of things: a collar, ankle cuffs, straps coming off your headboard, etc.

The Elastabind Cuffs can be worn a number of ways. You can slip both hands through the cuffs facing the same way, making your arms stay together in front of you. You do as the picture shows, putting your arms in opposite of each other, which will leave you with a lot of shoulder movement, allowing you to put your arms in front of your chest, or above your head. My favorite way is to do this same thing, arms opposite one another, but behind my back; this limits my mobility more than the other positions and gives me an arch in my back that I enjoy. Use your imagination, and I'm sure you will find even more ways to use these.

The straps fit snug, and stay in place rather well, but with a lot of movement, they will bunch together, but not to the point that they become uncomfortable of fail to do their job. They do stretch, but not too much, and if you have large hands/wrists, and wear these for a long time, you may start to get a bit of tingly feeling in your fingers. The fabric is black elastic and rather smooth, and I have not experienced any snapping or stretching of the elastic. They are not rubbery and do not pull on my skin or hair.

Depending on the size of your wrist, you may be able to twist the cuffs, therefore moving your wrists where ever you want. I am able to do this with little difficulty, but my wrists are small. I imagine the large boned you are, the more limited your ability would be.

The Elastabind Cuffs are not hard to get out of, as you can simply pull hard to get your wrist free, or hold the edge with the fingers of one hand, while you slip the other hand out. If you are looking for something for heavy play, or to keep your sub very restricted, look for something else. But if you are new to bondage, somewhat hesitant, or just looking for a play piece, this is perfect.

These should not get too dirty, but if they do, simply wash with a damp cloth and let air dry.
Experience
I absolutely love these. I'm a huge fan of bondage, and these give me the feel and restiction I crave, and even hold up to some struggling. And with three kids 6 and under, I can slip out of them quickly when little feet come pattering in the middle of the night (a huge bonus for me, because it's very hard to explain to a 6 year old why daddy has mommy hog-tied to the bed). I love these so much, I'm pretty sure I'm going to get another pair, just to have around; afterall, if one's fun, two's often better...
Follow-up commentary
These are still fun to play with if we aren't doing anything heavy. If I'm in the mood for a real fight, these don't cut it.

I have these and I love them but you are so right they are easy to escape from and they are not for heavy play, but they work good for us since we are just beginning in bdsm. Thanks for the review

Wonderful review. It's good to know these are easy to get out of. Despite all that I might still buy this.
