Tantric binding love - wrist and ankle cuffs discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Tuesday

These cuffs can be used on wrists or ankles and can be configured either to allow the wearer's escape or not. They are cute and easy to use.

They are probably intended for women to wear. At least they look feminine, with a bow and ribbons attached.

The main part of the restraint is a wide band of black elastic that is sewn together in the center. It is three inches wide and spans six and three quarter inches from one end to the other. This means that six and three quarter inches of elastic is available for each wrist or ankle that will enter them.

The seams of the elastic are inside one of the halves of the restraints, but they are not noticeable or irritating during use. It looks like the edges of the elastic have been melted to prevent unraveling.

The elastic is reasonably stretchy. Sewn into the center seam is a red silk bow. Also attached along the center is a metal ring that looks like a heart with a flattened bottom. This ring will allow you to use a clip to attach the cuffs to another restraint or to a leash or to tie the restraint to an object.

The two ribbons coming out from the center are an inch wide and nineteen and a half inches long. They wrap around the metal ring and are sewn into the center seam. The bow ribbon is the same material, but less wide.

It all appears to be durably constructed. After several uses and many vigorous attempts to escape from them, they have held up and are not frayed or torn.

My wrists are five and half inches around. These cuffs are large on my small wrists, but do fit on my husband's large wrists. They are a good fit on my seven and three quarter inch ankles. If the appendage you wish to use these on is significantly bigger than eight inches around, these might be too snug to be comfortable.

These restraints held up to several sessions where energetic attempts were made to escape from them. When the ribbons are not tied around the elastic part, it is easy to escape from them when they are on your wrists. at least it's easy if your wrists are small. It's not quite as easy when they are on your ankles although escape is still possible.

When the ribbons are wrapped around the bound appendages and tied, escape is impossible. So it's up to you whether you want to allow the wearer the opportunity to free him/herself.

Wearing them for long periods of time is comfortable, or as comfortable as you can be when your wrists or ankles are bound together.

With my ankles bound together I couldn't help remembering the story of how my uncle's fellow army recruits tied his ankles together after he fell asleep to cure him of chronic sleepwalking. I'm quite sure they didn't use something as attractive as these restraints on my poor uncle.

While it does limit your positioning possibilities that both wrists or ankles will be bound together, there were still many things we thought of to do with these. They are probably more useful on wrists than ankles, at least if you plan to use them during sex. Having your ankles bound together can interfere with that.

I have not needed to wash these and no care instructions were included. However with their polyester ribbon and elastic band construction, I can't imagine that gentle hand washing would harm them.

These restraints were wrapped in a plastic bag inside a simple cardboard box. Minimal product information waws on the outside of the package.

You will probably not want to keep the box for storage. You could fit a half a dozen of these in this product's box. I just fold them in half, wrap the ribbons around it several times and keep it among other toys.
