The Fluffy Heart Spank-Her is a Ruff Doggie Styles paddle that is more beginner-orientated with the soft, faux fur. One side of the paddle is faux fur while the opposite side is leather. The paddle also comes with a hanging strap which makes it easy to get to when you want to use it. The paddle is a bit over eleven inches long, and it is about five inches at the widest point. The handle is about five inches in length with a width of slightly over an inch. The entire front side of the paddle is covered with fur - including the handle. The paddle has a very sensual leather smell to it.

The Fluffy Heart Spank-Her doesn't come in any particular packaging. Instead, it just comes in a regular plastic bag to protect it from any outside harm during shipping. Once you get it, it can be easily removed from the bag, and then there is just a small tag attached to the handle that needs to be removed before the paddle can be used. The tag just lets you know that Ruff Doggie Styles made the paddle, and there's no cleaning or usage instructions on it.

Handling this paddle is actually really easy. It's a light-weight paddle, so this can be used for long periods of time without the arm feeling fatigued. The hanging strap is only a hanging strap, so it does not function as a wrist strap. The handle of this paddle is covered in fur; this does require certain forethought as a user of the paddle because, as you know, sex can get messy. When your hand is covered in lubricant, bodily fluids, or sweat, it is not a good idea to grab the paddle as your hand is just going to slip all over with the faux fur on the handle. Plus, it will make the fur all matted. I recommend using the paddle before playtime starts, and if you want something that's good to use after you've lubed up for playtime, I would suggest seeking out a different paddle.

This paddle is definitely very beginner-friendly. The fur on the entire side means that any blow you give your partner is not nearly as painful as it could be with just the leather alone. Instead, you have the faux fur which ends up softening the blow quite a bit. This paddle ends up being relatively thuddy with little-to-no-chance of sting as long as the fur side is used. It's much like being hit with a heavy piece of cardboard (I know I use that example a lot, but to me, it describes a non-stingy, non-thuddy toy) It just is *there*. You can feel the hit, and it gives a sensation, but it's not a painful sensation nor does it feel massaging. It just is a hit. It's perfect for beginners for this reason. Unless you get really rough, you can give your partner some pretty good spanks without actually injuring them. You both get the sensation of the spanking without the pain of the spanking itself.

However, the full-leather side is a completely different deal. This side is very, very stingy. The paddle is light-weight, so the leather is even more stingy when it comes in contact with a partner's skin. You can use it lightly, but it's still slightly stingy. Unless you know your partner would enjoy a stingy/painful sensation, I wouldn't recommend using the full-leather side with your partner. However, if the two of you are ready for something more painful and intense than the fur side, this leather side provides an interesting contrast. It can definitely leave a butt red, so you should be careful if you don't want to bring that flush to the butt. It also, if you use this side roughly, could cause bruising on the partner.

The first couple times you use this paddle, the faux fur is actually going to shed. This doesn't shed too much, but when I swung it around on my desk, I easily noticed all sorts of hair lying around on my desk. I've been using it for awhile now, and I haven't noticed the faux fur going away yet, so with a lot of use, I'm sure it will go away, but be prepared for a bit of shedding in the beginning. It's not much shedding at all, and you probably won't even notice it unless you play with this on glass (like my desk) or dark sheets (like my black bedsheets.) I haven't noticed any bald spots on the paddle, though, so it doesn't seem to effect it too much.

Cleaning this paddle is really not a huge problem, but it does take some forethought. For example, there's really no way to quickly sterilize leather or faux fur, so if you get bodily fluids or blood on this, it will be fluid-bonded to that partner for at least six months past the last date it gets bodily fluids on it to give it a chance to kill off any bacteria/viruses/etc. This means you should keep it bonded to one person for safety's sake, or make sure to avoid causing any sort of damage to the person you're playing with. This should not be used near lubricant or anything like that as it'd ruin the leather or the fur. For storage, you can pretty much put this wherever you'd like without any negative problems, but I do recommend that you avoid placing heavy objects on top of it as it will flatten out the fur and not make the paddle nearly as fluffy as it was originally.

The Fluffy Heart Spank-Her Paddle is a nice paddle that, while it does require some forethought about use to avoid ruining the fur, ends up working as a great transitioning paddle - whether that paddles is from your beginner-ness to your advanced-ness or whether it's from a warm-up spanking to a rougher spanking. It's cute, and it's well-made as well.
