Leather hog tie - restraints discontinued by Kinklab - review by mpfm

This is one of my favorite "extra" bondage accessory pieces. It makes a hog tie scenario a snap. It's an all-in-one-piece that connects to wrist an ankle cuffs.




Use
As the name states the primary use of this tool is to restrain your partner in a traditional hog tie. In order to complete the hog tie, you will need a set of wrist and ankle cuffs. This is just the hog tie connector without the necessary cuffs. To restrain cuff your partner. Put hands behind their back and pull their legs up. Then simply hook each cuff up to one of the crab claw snaps. Voila you have hog tied your partner. It's very easy and doesn't take much time to set up. It can also be used in front of the body instead of behind. Either way once in place your partner is at your mercy. They are not easily escapable. Just snap them on and let the games begin.


Construction
In the center is a large metal O ring. Attached at each quarter section is a red leather strip. The four strips are folded around the O ring and the claw snap and firmly secured with metal rivets. The strips are substantial at 1 inch wide and nearly 3 inches long. At the end is a heavy duty and I do mean heavy duty claw snap. Take a look at the size of those snaps. They are big and thick. This isn't a wimpy bondage restraint- it's serious business.




Maintenance
The hogtie is from Kinklab. It has its own cylinder storage case. The canister is clear without any writing on it. On the bottom is a sticker that simply says hog tie restraints. I don't remember if it came with instructions, but it is very intuitive and doesn't need them anyway. The case is perfect for long term storage.
It's best to avoid getting leather wet. The leather can be wiped down with a damp cloth if soiled.

My husband and I are light bondage players. Most of our cuffs are Velcro or escapable in some way. As you can imagine this hog tie set looks a tad out of place. It would be great for heavier bondage players. But we get lots of use with it. We like it for a couple of reasons. First it is very well made. It's going to last for a long time with just minimal care. Secondly, we like it because it is so easy to use. It takes only a minute to set up and we can use it with a variety of our cuffs. It doesn't matter that the rest of our restraints aren't of the same quality. It all works well together.

I think this would be great for light bondage players as well as heavy players. It's probably not the best for beginners to bondage.
