A simple mask can have many benefits and uses for those who enjoy their mysterious beauty. From ancient times to the present day, masks have played a part in many cultures. Commonly known as a 'Masquerade' mask or eye mask, this mask style covers the upper brow, eye, upper nose and upper cheek area. Providing a level of anonymity by covering a readily identifiable area of the face, these are the most popular and well known masks used by adults.

This mask is made of Nylon and Polypropylene (PP). It is rigid, formed to the facial shape and is held in place by long ribbons. The black, nylon ribbons are attached to each side with a rivet and are 16" long. They meet in the back of the head and are tied to keep the mask in place. This mask will fit anyone with a head circumference of under 34".

It has generous sized eye holes and can even be worn by people with glasses. The eye holes are 1" tall by 32 1/2" wide and are oval shaped with sharp corners. There is a nose shaped area and a slight curve to the mask to provide a better fit for the frontal curve of your face.

The mask itself is 8" wide by 4" tall. The fit is very universal and non-conforming. I do add some light padding to the top and bridge of the nose with a soft, plush foam. This also helps me to keep it away from my glasses when I wear them and also allows your face to 'breathe'. I use a glue gun and glue to attach the foam, purchased at a craft store.

This mask is durable and will be long lasting. The material has no odor, but feels a bit like hard plastic and can be irritating to areas of your face. The silvery outer skin of the mask is an overlay that has a bit of sloppy edges around the eye holes. I trimmed mine with an exacto-knife, since it drove me crazy to look at the flaws. Other than that, it is made better than the plastic masks you get with the Halloween costumes and should last a fairly long time.

I find the decorations to be pretty basic and might add feathers or other unique items for personal decoration. It may be worn as is if you do not mind the basic glitter decorating and corded outline design.

There is no solid black ring around the eye area, so you will have skin showing unless you cover it with make up. The mask stayed in place very well, both with and without my glasses on. I do wear contacts most of the time, but have been known to get lazy and just wear my glasses. I was happy with the size of the mask, it did not press the glasses into my face like many of them have done.

The material did tend to trap sweat, but since I add a bit of foam to the top and nose area, this was not an issue for me. I was able to wear the mask for a couple of hours, prior to installing the foam, before the sweat got noticeable and irritating.

This mask by Sportsheets worked very well for concealing my identity. I felt very confident about my anonymity and had no qualms when my face was shown on the web cam. By having that amount of privacy, I was able to relax and have fun instead of worrying about the mask slipping or moving to the side.

Wipe the exterior of the mask very carefully with a barely damp cloth. The interior can be wiped down using a cloth with rubbing alcohol, and astringent facial cleanser or soap and water.

I store this in a plastic bag on top of my dresser. This keeps it from getting squished or damaged by other objects and also allows it to be dust free. You may want to store it by hanging it on your bedpost or other area by using the ribbons.

The mask is packaged on a black cardboard base that is inside a clear, plastic bag. The cardboard has slots on each side, which allows the mask to be secured by tucking each end into the slots. The ribbon is also tied around the back of the cardboard.

The face of the board has a pair of eyes looking through the eye holes of the mask and the name of the mask printed on it. The back has a very short, erotic story/scenario, materials list and Adult Novelty warning printed on it in white lettering.

Wearing a mask gives me a feeling of self-confidence, it lowers my inhibitions and adds a sense of mystery and fun to our activities. It is easy for me to let my reserve go and get wild if there is that little bit of invisibility for me to hide behind. For me, my masks act as a security blanket--allowing me greater freedom in my sexual explorations.
