This gift set would be great as a gift for a newlywed couple that you are close with or for you and your significant other on a special night! The ties could be used for blindfolding or tying wrists or ankles. The vibrating toy could be used for clitoral stimulation as well as an all-over body tease. The chocolate flavored lube can be used for oral, with the toy or for intercourse. The candles would work well for setting the mood and creating a romantic atmosphere. This product would be best for couples since it is more for a romantic evening to be set up for another as a surprise.

The best occasion for this set would be Valentine’s Day because of the rose toy and candles or for anniversaries or celebrating! The placement of the button on the vibrating rose makes it easy for use by one partner on the other. The lube has a very sweet taste to it, like hot cocoa mix. We would suggest being careful when using the toy on your partner because as you try to stimulate the clitoris it is easy to jab other parts with the sharp tip of the rose. If you are planning to purchase this as a gift for your lover, be sure to open everything before they get there because it may cause a pause in the romance! Plus, in order for the full experience of the candles and rose petals, it would require pre-planning.

Ties, Candles and Rose Petals:
There were two satin ties included in the kit, one of which we used as a blindfold. They are about 4 inches wide and 3 feet long. They are fairly see-through, but can be folded in half to be used as a successful blindfold. Plus, we used just the small candles as lighting in the room so using just the thin satin was good enough as a blindfold.
The candles are just like the ones you can find near holiday decorations. These ones take watch batteries, which can be expensive to replace, but lit the room well when all four were lit. The switches were a bit hard to turn on.
The fake rose petals were the perfect addition to the kit; I thought they were very romantic and fun for a change! There were 30 of the petals in the kit. They are definitely only for decoration because they were a bit scratchy. At the end of the night I rolled onto one, and it didn’t feel nice under my bare bottom.

Rose:
The white base of the rose where the batteries are inserted is about 3 inches tall and 1.5 inches wide at its largest part. It is made of hard plastic and the bottom half screws off for battery access. The green bendable stem is 5.5 inches long. It is made out of a rubbery-feeling plastic. When we first bent the stem it sounded like it was breaking, but since it still works we are assuming it just needed to be loosened up like a glow stick. The red flower part is just less than 2.5 inches from base to tip and 1.5 inches wide at its widest part of the base near the stem. The flower part is made of silicone and has cute accent lines resembling the lines of petals. The rose part is smooth and feels nice when used with lube. This isn’t the type of toy that can be set up and left, it needs to be held by someone in order to get the best use. The bendable stem does make it nice for trying out different things while still getting clitoral stimulation.

Lube:
The lube is water based and had a silky thin texture to it. If you like thick lubes, this wouldn’t be your favorite, but it did its job for quite a while. I am usually someone who needs to reapply lube when using foreplay toys like the vibrating rose, but this lube kept me lubricated for the entire time. It poured out very quickly, and with only the dim tea lights on, it could cause a mess fairly quickly without you realizing it! Luckily, I was already blindfolded so my fiancé didn’t feel embarrassed by fumbling with it. It did leave a little bit of a sticky feeling on our hands and lips, but wasn’t irritating to my sensitive skin.

The chocolate lube has a very sweet taste to it! As avid chocolate lovers, we felt this tasted more like hot cocoa mix than chocolate itself. It didn’t have an aroma to it at all, which surprised us. We liked the taste but were just wishing it was a little less sweet. The taste was faint and not too overpowering.

The rose itself had a smell to the silicone. We couldn’t tell if it was the chocolate lube or just the silicone itself at first but then decided it was the silicone. It is like a light rubbery smell. It isn’t overpowering or off-putting in any way; it just has a smell.

The ties, candles and petals worked without issues. They just needed to be set up around the room to create a romantic setting.

The vibrating rose was very impressive. It was soft and worked well combined with the lube. The button on the bottom of the handle made it very easy for my fiancé to surf through the 7 various settings with ease.

In order to turn the toy off, you must hold down the button which we found out after flipping through the settings 3 times! As I mentioned before, the bendable stem makes it easy to maneuver and use it from different positions and lengths. The entire toy vibrates which may make your partners hand go numb while pleasuring you. The highest setting was just enough for foreplay but may not be strong enough for climax for most people. The various settings are interesting and fun to try. The batteries, which are not included, did not run out while using it. It takes 2 AAA batteries. What I liked the best about this toy was that it was something new and romantic to try. What I liked least was that it wasn’t very strong vibration wise. The toy was very quiet and probably couldn't be heard from behind closed doors.
We used edenfantasy wipes to clean the toy off from the lube. It came clean without a problem.

The lube lasted without needing to be reapplied and came off of our hands and genitals with the edenfantasy wipes as well.

The gift set came in a box with a bow on an elastic band around the middle. The box had a descriptive card under the elastic band that described what was inside. More like a promotional insert. At the bottom of the card, it said “remove card before gifting”. When you removed the card, the box just looked like a normal gift box with very nice decorative patterns on it. This packaging would be good for gifting without needing an additional box and wrapping. The rose came in a cylindrical tube that had a lot of tape holding on the lid, it would definitely need to be opened prior to your romantic evening! The packaging for the rose says it is waterproof and phthalate and latex free. The rose petals came in a sealed plastic bag that would also need to be ripped open. The ties came in their own bag that needed to be ripped open also. The candles and lube were inside a small squared off compartment inside the box. The lube had an aluminum seal under the cap that would also need to be removed before hand.

The lube packaging says there is no aftertaste and never sticky. We agree there is no aftertaste, but we did notice a bit of stickiness. The lube has no artificial sweeteners. The ingredients are Propyl Paraben, Methyl Paraben, Sodium Carboxy Methyl, Cellulose, Glycerin, Purified Water and Chocolate flavor. We were a bit deceived by the packaging. We thought it was going to be a water-based lube by the “H2O” written in big letters on the front until we led the ingredients list.

The set did not come with batteries. If you wanted to set up the romantic evening as a surprise, we would recommend spreading the rose petals, turning on the candles and placing them around the room and putting the lube, toy and ties opened up back into the box for him/her to open themselves.

The vibrating rose has 7 different settings. The first is a low constant hum, the second is a little more powerful than the first, and the third is the strongest constant vibration, the fourth is a “one two threeeee” setting, the fifth is five short bursts with a sixth long vibration, the sixth setting is like the fifth in reverse with the long vibration then four short bursts, the seventh setting is two long vibrations with a short pause in between.

We really enjoyed this gift set! It was a nice change from the usual process. It would definitely be a nice way to celebrate an occasion with a new experience. We had never tried using ties or blindfolds before for foreplay. We thought this was a great way to try it for the first time! We thought the vibrations could have been a bit stronger, but we thought it was good for foreplay. The one thing I didn’t like was that when my fiancé was using it on my clitoris, the tip of the rose occasionally jabbed me in the hymen. This could be avoided by the angle you use it from but is something to be mindful of like I mentioned earlier. All in all, we would recommend this kit to a couple who is looking for something fun and romantic but are beginners in doing this type of blindfold and tie-up foreplay. So romantic!
