Ah, the Tantus Fantasy Gag. This was a long coveted item that had crept into many of my jerk-off fantasies way before I had ever gotten the chance to hold it in my hot little paws. Its look somehow calls to mind soft serve ice cream, with a particularly long, voluptuous cock’s head stacked on fat, rippling base. The Fantasy Gag blends all the yummy-ness of cock-choked submission with the inviting (and vaguely culinary) appearance of slick, sable curves. Basically: it’s super sexy.

As opposed to a traditional ball gag, the Fantasy Gag has a broad, flat mouth guard onto which the insertable portion is mounted; which equals ZERO BACKSASS from my occasionally mouthy partner. Aside from some grunts, this gag permits very little verbal communication. Another reason why I love it, but one of many reasons why I would not consider this a beginner’s piece. It’s very difficult to “spit” this one out, so if you’re new to the whole experience of gagging I might recommend a small, traditional ball gag which is more lenient in this aspect.

The mouth piece also rests about 3″ into the mouth, and at its widest point is roughly 1.75″ inches wide. For myself, this is very uncomfortable. Contrary to popular belief, I have a pretty small mouth. My partner’s is much wider/deeper, so for him this is not a problem. Personally, I know that when I wore it I got that eye-watering, fighting-waves-of-nausea feeling from it and when I took it off my jaw ached something serious. If you know that your mouth is narrow or that your gag reflex is anywhere from moderate to strong, this is not a good idea for you. Unless you have a kink for puke, which, hey, some people do.

Besides the potentially nauseating dimensions, this little guy is a dream come true. The soft, comfortable leather strap has upwards of 25″ of circumference making it a comfortable fit for, well, pretty much everyone. The straps are fitted with 5″ long areas of Velcro which make closure rather a pain in the butt if you have long hair. It’s a four hand job, I’ve found, for my wooly-headed partner. Even with four hands we sometimes get hair stuck in it. Still, once it’s on? I’ve had no problems with it coming off during play; the Velcro is sturdy, fear not (and I was afraid). The Velcro closure also makes it very comfortable (minus some occasionally lost hairs when taking it off) because there are no metal buckles grating against your skull.

Finally, as with everything Tantus, the mouthpiece is made out of 100% medical grade silicone, making it durable beyond compare and really easy to clean and share. The snap closures? Awesome. Unsnap the cock, pop it in some boiling water for 3-4 minutes for a sanitized mouth piece. It’s very difficult for me to imagine using a gag of any kind unless it was made of silicone. Silicone is the perfect candidate for a gag being as it has no inherent smell or taste and is VERY easy to sanitize. This is definitely a factor if you, like myself, have more than one partner that you may be using this with. Plus, bite all you want, you’ll be hard pressed (literally) to leave prints from your chompers in this one.

Something tells me the Fantasy Gag is one of those toys that I'll only come to love more and more with time. It's just such a wonderfully perverse concept and for me? Never gets old. As times goes on and my partner and I experience more and more toys and BDSM gadgets, finding items that maintain their novelty factor is pretty invaluable. For the fact that this guy still gets me all hot and bothered when I simply think of using it, I would shell out probably double what I paid for it to have it.

Tantus isn't the first to do a cock gag, but from what I've seen they really are the best. This has held up to serious wear incredibly. The only thing that I hate about this gag is that on the occasions where I find myself craving some degradation, this won't work for me. It's just too long and it makes me nauseous.
