Tickle me Pink! (or red)...

If you're a budding BDSM player, the Rubber Tickler might be an option for you. It can be used just for tickling, or if you're feeling up to it you can deliver a slap or two with it. If you don't think rubber is a material for you, though, there are other options.

Use

The Rubber Tickler is designed to titillate the senses. Glide it over your partner's skin or have them tease you. Wear a blindfold to make the sensations from the tickler feel more present (sense deprivation, like a blindfold, can do this). The tickler is geared more towards budding BDSMers or those who want a warm/light item on hand. This is labeled as a tickler but can be used for a light whipping session. However, it won't stand up to heavy abuse, so be warned.

This tickler is simple, but a good price and offers some a variety of fun scenarios to use it in. It is pretty low maintenance and easy to clean since the falls are made of rubber. They don't really tangle either, especially if you hand them or store the toy well. This is a good first purchase for many looking into some tickling or spanking or want something that is very user friendly and easy to use.

Design / Craftsmanship / Size / Material / Features

The design of the Rubber Tickler is simple and nothing fancy. It's plastic and rubber. There are not fancy designs, tweaks, bells or whistles. What you see is what you get. Some users may like this simple design, others might think it's cheap. It is a very affordable price, but it's a good value for its price.

The falls are well attached to the rod. The falls have slightly uneven lengths, but it does not detract its appeal. The one thing that could improve the design is if there was a handle to aid in both control and storing the tickler. Still, even after 4 months of decent usage, the Rubber Tickler seems no worse for the wear. The Rubber ticklers feel smooth with a tad of drag. The also feel a bit cool to the touch. It does have a bit of an odor, but it dissipates and can only be smelled if you put your nose to the falls. The smell is similar to a pencil eraser.

The Rubber Tickler is 23 inches long. The falls are about 6 inches long. The length offers a good amount of range for use. The falls are designed to be a tickler. They would be longer if it was designed to be a whip. It serves its purpose well. If you apply too much strength or bend the rodd too much, it could snap, but again, it's not intended for heavy use.

Performance

As a Tickler

The Rubber Tickler can be glided across almost all of the body. You may not want to glide it around the face since the rubber smell will be apparent from that distance. Depending on where it is glided, you may experience different sensations. The rubber falls slightly grab hairs, so you can feel your hairs being moved a bit, especially if gliding against the grain of hair growth (it does not snag hair or create pinching/pain from this movement).

If used inside the elbows or the inner forearm, the sensation may be, well, tickling. You may instinctually pull your arm back because of the teasing feeling (which can be solved by tying the receiver down, just a suggestion).

As a baby Whip

Again, this tickler is not designed to be a whip. If too much force is applied, you can overextend the plastic rod and cause the toy to break. If you arc it in the air, it cuts through the air with a nice sound. Depending on the force you apply to skin, you'll create different sensations. A small whack will cause a stinging sensation, particular from the tips of the fall. I harder whack will cause a lingering pain. You can make the skin red with this tickler if you continue to use it as a whip. However, achieving this multiple times can shorten the life of your tickler.

You can alternate the use of the tickler. You can drag it across the skin and then spontaneously deliver a blow. This can surprise your lover and leave them not knowing what to expect next.

Care and Maintenance

The falls don't tangle as much compared to other materials. After use, you can finger comb the falls to remove any possible tangles. Hairs can get stuck in the falls and you can pull them out if you see them. If fluids get on the falls you can wash them with a mild soap and water. It doesn't have a handle, but you can hang it off the edge of a dresser to let it dry.

Once dry, you have a few storage options. You can store it in a drawer since most standard drawers are long enough to hold the toy. You can wrap a bread tie or rubber band around the end of the falls to prevent them from tangling during storage. Another option is to let is rest, horizontally, on two hooks.

If you don't have two or multiple hooks side by side you can buy the removable ones for a couple of dollars. Then you can hang your Tickler in the closet. Hang coats on the hooks to add some discretion.

Packaging

There is no real packaging on the rubber tickler. The top of the toy had a cardboard label that allowed it to be hung on display at a store. It also had an adhesive label on the shaft. The adhesive label may not peel of easily, so you might have to wash it to get all the goo off. Because the tickler is easily visible, it is not discreet.

Experience

This was one of our first purchases into all things whips and chains. I first spotted the rubber tickler at a neighborhood sex shop and walked around with it while I perused with friends. It entertained me to walk around with. Eventually, I ordered on down the line.

My partner will occasionally use it on me. We have open housemates, so we can leave or closet open and our whips and items can be out with no eyebrows raised. Because we leave out closet open, my partner will get spur of the moment urges to give me a whack or two, especially is I'm being a pain in the ass (the cute one) at the time. It make for some fun and it sometimes turns into sex or it just makes laughs; it depends on the day and our mood.

I'll use this occasionally on my partner, but this one doesn't do if for him. He rather use it on me, which is fine. Overall, we do prefer this tickler for teasing. For more of a spanking, we lean on our larger rubber whip or our crop. Still, we like our purchase and we'll gladly keep this tickler until it busts.
