This restraint system features four adjustable slide tie loops, a snap plastic clamp to disconnect the two halves, and an adjustable middle strap.

This restraint system has three types of material. ABS plastic, nickel free metal, and polypropylene. Unfortunately Edenfantasys lists the material incorrectly as polyester.

The braided straps are soft and comfortable on the skin. As best as I can describe them, they seem to be similar to camping type material or an animal color. They are ½ of an inch wide and 1/8 of an inch thick. I love to feel these straps on my skin. I love to feel them tightening up as I squirm and pull against the restraints. The straps are soft yet firm at the same time. Moreover, they do not leave marks or abrasions on you so there is no need to worry about the tell tale signs of bondage. It won't let others knowing your bedroom secrets.

But beware, this system has NO way to stop the straps from getting to tight when you pull against them. I myself have not found a way to get out of these loops without the assistance of a free hand. Edenfantasys lists this item as a Top 50 Suspension Kit. I would not trust this piece to be used for suspension due to the straps tightening with no stooping point except the body. Also, there is no tensile strength that I can find for the straps and they may not hold up to the weight.

I really love how this restraint system performs. It exceeded my expectations and more. It versatility is awesome allowing you to experiment with different styles of restraint.

When I tuged and pulled on the restraints I noticed it tightning. There fore, I stoped pulling hard againt the cord and I felt no discomfort at all. I knew that was where Hubby wanted me and I stayed put. Except for a little squirming around.

Polypropylene has a melting point of 320 degrees Fahrenheit; so there is no need to worry about getting hot wax on it and degrading the material. Also this material is resistant to water and mold/mildew making this kit great to experiment with in the shower or hot tub. In addition, this material is usually resistant to many chemicals, bases, and solvents. Based on this information found on Wikipedia, you should be safe with any type of lubricant that may find its way onto your straps.

The metal fasteners may rust over time due to washing the restraints. To protect against this simply apply a thin layer of clear nail polish to the front and back of the each fastener. I have read in other reviews and posts in the forums, that the cheaper options for clear nail polish are not as effective as some higher end polishes. To be on the safe side why not invest a few more dollars to ensure that your Adjustable Rope Restraint System has a long and happy life.

Should your restraint system get dirty you can easily wash it by hand with warm water and mild anti-bacterial soap. Lay your rope flat or hang it to dry before storing. Although this particular material is resistant to mildew there is no need to risk it getting that mildewed smell from being stored wet.

Another factor to take into consideration when using these restraints is that salt water may damage your straps. Salt tends to get into the fibers and act like little knifes, fraying the fibers and ultimately destroying it. Therefore, if you plan on using this restraint system on the beach or on your boat make sure to thoroughly clean your restraints after use. Another great aspect of this type of material is that it tends to float. Should your staps fall overboard, no need to worry! It will float long enough for you to throw out a life perserver.

I rate this product as a 5 Star and this is why...

Although there is the obvious issue of the slip loops potentially tightening to tight, this product is a designed for couples who are light in there play time. Under what I would consider sensual light to moderate use the person being bound is aware of their movements and pulling. Therefore, they have control over the amount of force they fell griping their limb. This system is not intended for the user who will be pulling and squirming with great force tryting to get away (the heavy BDSM user).

Considering the novice's ease and comfort to use this product is right on the mark. Sportsheets Sex and Mischief line is hailed as one of the best around for this use. And with the Adjustable Restraint Kit it is easy to see why
