The Aslan Vegan Jaguar Collar despite being faux leather is the real deal when it comes to looks, durability, and performance. Simple but functional in it's design, it will set a naughty tone for the wearer and can endure some rough handling. The Vegan Jaguar Collar by Aslan Leather makes a wonderful addition to the toy collections of hardcore subs and doms out there as well as rookie players just looking to spice up their sexy clothing wardrobe. As a completely animal friendly product you can engage in some frisky play comfortable in the knowledge that cute farm animals weren't harmed in your quest for pleasure. I just may wear mine to the local rib fest!
This collar's simplicity is one of it's high points. It's built sturdy with obvious attention to quality craftsmanship and is guaranteed to last a lifetime. How often do you hear that term in the world of sex toys?
The main collar is almost 16" in length and 1 1/2" wide with the buckling strap riveted to it extending out another 3 1/2". A total of seven chrome rivets ensure the buckling piece will hang on for, well, a guaranteed lifetime! A chromed steel ring is placed at the middle with a diameter of 1 1/2" held on by a solid metal triangle. Two rivets placed on opposite sides of this hardware make sure that the ring won't come loose during hard play or excessive force. Personally, I think you would hurt someone's neck before this sucker would fall apart!
When cinched up to the smallest adjustment possible the collar has a circumference of 15". At it's largest it's about 20" around. There are a total of 6 possible sizes courtesy of the six buckling strap holes for the buckle to slip through. The buckle itself also has a lovely hole at the end of the pin for a padlock to be slid through if you really want to be restrained into this collar. The hole is rather small and only padlocks such as suitcase sized models or slighter larger will fit this option. I can't honestly see myself wearing this through airport security so my suitcase locks can stay on my luggage at least then!
The Vegan Jaguar is easy to adjust, put on solo, and is wonderfully comfortable. The inside of the collar is remarkable soft for a vegan material and hasn't chafed us in the least. The gentle feel doesn't come at the cost of reduced durability though and I really can see this collar lasting one heckuva long time.
In the two weeks we've had the pleasure of owning this Aslan collar we've alternated as being the wearer. My husband says it makes him feel dirty to have it around his neck and it fits him well. He doesn't prefer it too tight however as he finds it puts uncomfortable pressure on his Adam's apple. For me, I absolutely love being the dirty girl with this collar decorating my neck. I love the way the metal ring jingles when I jiggle! (I gave this collar 2 Bee's for the noise rating just because of the metal tinking sounds when I'm being pumped.) I've had a leash hooked up to the ring and my man has pulled me around the bed rather roughly and the collar is still comfortable while being sturdy. Both of us can easily don and adjust this collar without helping hands.
I will say, however, that I do miss the smell of real leather. There has always been something that made me feel extra nasty about the scent of natural cow hide!!! I guess I'll never be PETA certified.
Care of this collar is exactly as required for a leather piece of clothing. The collar should never be immersed in water and should always be stored dry and away for sunlight. Nasty solar rays can dry out and crack even vegan leather. Leather conditioner should be used occasionally to help kept the collar supple and looking shiny new. The metal rivets are suggested to be coated with clear nail polish to seal them from any moisture which could cause rusting. That raises my only real issue with this collar....why not use stainless steel hardware. I guess it wouldn't be as shiny but could let the collar be guaranteed for two lifetimes?
Packaging is ultra simple. The Vegan Jaguar collar came in a plastic bag with only a small tag indicating the care and cleaning instructions as well as noting the fact that Aslan Leather is the "Leader in Strapon Sex Products." Good to see that excessive packaging wasn't used for a piece designed to sell to those interested in caring for the environment.
As I've already mentioned, we've had this collar for 2 weeks and seriously we've worn it every time we've had sex. It's become quite the novelty piece because it looks hot! I've been the main wearer and in the role of both the submissive and the dominant. My husband has leashed me around the bedroom and also tied me up to the bed complete with wrist and ankle cuffs and the collar adds to the whole scene. I've worn it as the dominant nasty mistress as well and coupled with a leather outfit I have and a strap-on.... well, you get the idea! No complaints from my husband whatsoever.
I can see this collar giving us many more fond memories and experiences and continuing to spice up our love making, role playing activities.

We predicted that his collar would hold up to regular wear nicely and it has. After about a year it still looks as great as it did when we received it and the vegan material has stayed soft and supple. Truly a collar for the ages and it still gets us hot from the look and feel of wearing it. We've tied it in with a metal chain leash and I still love taking my husband for a walk!
