Her Pleasure = My Disappointment

Normally I couldn't care less about condom brand; as long as they're reliable, I’m fine leaving everything else up to the guy. If a condom is marketed specifically at women, I’m going to hold it to higher standards. I was a bit skeptical of Trojan’s “Her Pleasure” condoms, but I still really, really hoped they would deliver. They didn’t. Try them if you want, but don’t fork over the cash with the idea that you/your partner will enjoy them more than other condoms—it’s not going to happen.
Nice lubricant, good concept
Ridges can't be felt, thick, weird fit, pricey

So, confession time: I actually bought these when I wasn’t seeing anyone, solely for the purpose of using them as toy covers. Being both lazy and a neat freak, I try to cover my toys as often as possible in order to keep them clean while exerting minimal effort. Normally I’d use a regular condom, but given that I was buying these for no one’s benefit but my own, I thought I might as well give the Her Pleasure condoms a try.

All seemed well when I first opened them up; they smelled a bit more strongly of latex than most other condoms do, at least in my experience. I wasn’t horribly put off by the scent—besides, latex condoms are a tad more dependable, and I’ll take the added smell over an unexpected pregnancy any day. What’s more, I actually really liked the feel/consistency of the kind of lubricant Trojan has used on these—it’s almost silky. I do recall thinking that the ridges designed for “my pleasure” seemed a bit small, but I decided to withhold judgment until I’d felt them inside of me.

The problem was I never DID feel them inside of me. My initial impression was right—they’re just too small to actually be felt, unless maybe you have an unusually sensitive vagina. I tried them out with vibrators that varied in shape, size, and purpose, all to no avail—they felt no different than any other condom, and I was forced to conclude that I had wasted my money.

I never bought them again, so I never did get around to using them with a partner. Even if they had not been quite so expensive a disappointment, though, I’d be wary about using them during sex. Although they’re supposedly no thicker than the average condom, they feel thicker than normal, and I’ve heard members of both sexes complain about this—men because it means decreased sensitivity and women because it can feel bulky and uncomfortable. More importantly, though, I can’t imagine that these would fit any actual human man particularly well; I tried them out on different vibrators, some more realistic than others, and the fit was always off. It’s not simply a question of being too large or too small; it’s that they’re tight in some places and loose in others (particularly the tip). Reading other reviews on EdenFantasys has confirmed my suspicions that something weird is going on with the fit. I don’t know about you, but I definitely don’t want to find out in the middle of sex that the condom broke or slipped off, so I wouldn’t recommend using these as your primary form of birth control. If, however, you do decide to give these condoms a shot, bear in mind that they’re latex, and thus can’t be used with oil-based lubricants.
