Like Skittles, But Sexier

Flavored condoms are one of the greatest and safest ways to add a bit of flavor to oral sex. These flavored condoms from Durex hit the mark with flavor and give you the added sense of safety and security they're known for.

One thing condoms are great for besides blocking the transmission of STD's or pregnancy during sex, is also blocking the transmission of STD's and all that icky stuff during oral sex. The introduction of flavored condoms has had a lot of great benefits, promoting safer sex by making it yummy. With these the person giving the blowjob can taste fruit rather than latex, or if the person on the receiving end of the condom wants oral afterward, their partner can taste the fruity flavor left behind by the condom, rather than the latex flavor that normally gets left behind. Either way, only the person on the receiving end of these will be left flavored, there is no flavoring or added scents on the inside of the condom.

The normal box comes with 3 different flavors inside of it: strawberry, orange, and banana. The scents aren't overwhelming, but you can smell them within a few feet. The strawberry ones smell and taste a lot like a strawberry Jolly Rancher. Banana smells exactly like a banana flavored Laffy Taffy and I'm not sure if it was just my batch or if the flavor of these ones seems weaker than the others. I could taste the banana, but only barely. The orange one tastes a lot like an orange flavored tootsie pop and smells like it too.

The average condom is 7.5" long, 2.04" wide at the base and along the shaft, and .002" thick. Durex Tropicals are on par with an average condom on length and thickness. Along the base and the length of the shaft, these are a bit smaller at 1.75" wide.

Girthier guys should probably pick a different condom, but use your best judgment. If it starts to feel really tight or starts leaving a mark, definitely take it off and switch to something bigger.

These condoms come lubricated with water-based lube. I found the provided lubrication to be adequate, but if you start to run low on natural lubrication, make sure to add some more. You can use your favorite body safe water based or silicone based lube. Avoid oil based lubes, and stay away from body lotions, Vaseline, and the like. The oil base can degrade the latex and cause breakage.

These and all other condoms should be stored at room temperature, protected from prolonged periods of exposure to extreme high or low temperatures, moisture, direct sunlight and fluorescent light. If the condom is sticky, brittle, or looks damaged, don't use it. You should always use a new condom each time you engage in a new sex act, never reuse. You would use these the same way you use any other condom with a reservoir tip, pinch the tip to remove all the air, and then roll down the shaft.

The box does have instructions on how to put these on, but if you're still unsure how to put a condom on correctly, more detailed written instructions can be found here or Planned Parenthood has a video that you can watch.

I've never had a Durex condom break on me, ever, and these haven't been an exception to that either.
Experience
I'm normally not that big on giving head. I'm just not. It drove my last boyfriend nuts, but my fiance doesn't mind and views it as a rare treat when he does get it. These help him get it, because rather than tasting salty skin, I can taste fruit!

As far as use during sex goes, nothing feels any different than the average condom, but we weren't expecting it to, since its only real feature was the flavor. The only thing I don't like about these is that sometimes it feels like my lips are going numb, but I can never tell if it's actually the condom or if it's all in my head.

Overall, I do recommend these to anybody looking to add a bit of flavor to sex.
Follow-up commentary
Honestly I'm still fairly neutral on these. I used to prefer them to other condoms simply because they didn't smell like condoms, but since delving farther into the world of flavored lubes, even that doesn't draw me to these specifically anymore. If you're looking for a flavored condom and have your heart set on it, these are on the better end of ones I've tried.
