Trojan pleasure 12 pack - ribbed condoms by Church and Dwight - review by Love Bites

My boyfriend and I use Lifestyle Skyn Condoms, which are non-latex. They are thin and comfortable but, I wanted to try something new and so I ordered the Trojan Pleasure Pack. I read previous reviews and I thought "these condoms cannot be that bad!". Sadly, I was mistaken.

This pack comes with four different types of condom:
- There is the Twisted Pleasure style condom, which comes in a thick, green condom packet. The box describes this condom as being "Designed with deep ribs to help stimulate both partners in their most sensitive areas". The box comes with four of these condoms. This condom didn't have any taste to me, but the lubrication had an unpleasant texture and the condom smells strongly of latex when held under your nose.


- There is the Sensations style condom. This comes in a thick, purple condom packet that says "Her Pleasure" on the outside. The box describes this condom as being "Ribbed and contoured for extra enjoyment and stimulation". The box comes with four of these condoms. This condom didn't really have any taste to me and smells strongly of latex when held under your nose.


- There is the Intense Ribbed condom, which comes in a thick, yellow condom packet. The box describes this condom as "Features deep ribs along the condom and UltraSmooth Premium Lubricant for comfort and sensitivity". The box comes with two of these condoms. This condom has a faint taste of lubricant and has a light smell of latex when held under your nose.


- There is the Fire & Ice style condom, which comes in a thick, metallic, purple and blue condom packet. The box describes this condom as "Dual Action Lubricant with warming and tingling sensations for both partners". The box comes with two of these condoms. I will not taste this condom and it holds a sickening smell when held under your nose, due to the lubricant.



In total, this box comes with twelve lubricated Latex condoms. You can use water and silicone based lubricants safely with these condoms.




Now, I want to share my experience with each condom:

- Twisted Pleasure: This condom claims to stimulate both partners. However, my boyfriend said it was merely "OK", not really stimulating either way. Along the outside of the condom, there are diagonal criss-crossing lines that go around the entire shaft of the condom. This is meant to stimulate the female but I didn't feel it at all. This condom is very thick, with a lot of lubrication on the outside and it was easy to feel the material during sex. This may just be because the condoms we normally use are thinner, more fitting.

- Sensations "Her Pleasure": This condom is said to be ribbed and contoured to stimulate more pleasure. My boyfriend said this was also merely "OK", feeling like any typical condom. This condom has horizontal lines that are meant to stimulate the female during sex. I didn't feel these and the only reason this condom was good for us, was because of the amount of lubrication it had. We used it during anal and vaginal sex. This condom was also very thick and the material was easy to feel vaginally. We used two out of four of these, one for each.

- Intense Pleasure: This condom is similar to the Sensations "Her Pleasure" condom. My boyfriend said he felt the ribbed lines through the condom just enough that it caused him enjoyable pleasure during sex. The condom has horizontal lines that wrap around the condom, stimulating both partners. I was able to feel the ribbed lines immediately and although it was pleasurable, I could take it or leave it. After going at it for awhile though, the sensation was lost to me. I would use these again. This condom was thick and seemed like it had a little less lubrication on it.

- Fire & Ice Pleasure: This condom has lubrication meant to stimulate both partners. I am unclear if there is tingling and warming for both or if one sensation is for male and the other sensation is for the female. My boyfriend said he experienced a warm tingling that was enjoyable, not over bearing in the least. He said he enjoyed it enough but that he wouldn't care either way if we used it again. He experienced no after effects from the lubrication. This condom has no extra stimulation besides the lubrication. I HATE this condom and will NEVER use it again. The lubrication was gently warm at first but quickly became painful and I made him stop and throw it away. I didn't even get ten minutes of sex out of this condom, so I cannot tell you how it felt.

I want to also tell you about my experience with the fit of this condom. It was extremely large and because of this, after my boyfriend ejaculated and pulled out, the condom slipped right off of him. It became stuck inside of my vagina and he had to reach in and pull it out with his fingers. It was painful and embarrassing. It also defeated the purpose of using a condom, as the semen spilled out anyway. I had to go to the pharmacy to get the morning after pill, which only added to my embarrassment.

I am too wary of these now to use this product again. I will stick to Lifestyle Skyn Condoms, a trusted and true product for me. This pack has dismayed me enough that I won't be purchasing another Trojan condom product and quite possibly, I will never buy another variety pack either.

I won't use most of the condoms in this box, only the Her Pleasure kind. So, I would say that this product really hasn't hit the spot for me. I won't be purchasing them in the future, or recommending them to anybody else, either. I'll stick to the Lifestyles Skyn condoms.
