The Pink Candy Minx is my first harness, so as a beginner, as far as use goes, I can tell you it is perfect for someone new to gender play, pegging, or strap-on sex. However, at this price-point, it may not be feasible for someone trying to decide whether or not they would like to engage in these activities; in this case, I would say this is more of an advanced users purchase.

However, if you know for sure you will enjoy strap-on play and you want a high quality, buy-it-once item, this is a perfect choice. I can't imagine that you'd regret owning this product.

The Pink Candy Minx is made by Aslan Leather, in Canada. The leather Aslan uses is the most luxurious leather I have ever come across. Why can't I find a furniture company, in North America, which uses the same high quality materials and craftsmanship for their products? I digress...

At first glance, I was impressed by the pink color chosen for this harness. I was worried the color would not be the same in person, as that shown in the photo; I am pleased to tell you it is identical.

Not only is the leather first-rate, high quality, but the D-rings, snaps, and rivets are chrome-plated, sturdy, and high quality also.

The stitching is impeccable! There is not a single loose thread or missed stitch on my entire harness.

I am sad to report my leather harness did not even remotely smell of leather. It smells of nothing.

I am impressed by Aslan's design and fitting options.

The Pink Candy Minx is adjustable to fit 30-56" hips (Aslan's website states this harness can accommodate up to 60" hips; however, with my corset expanded fully and tied with the shoestring provided, at its largest, it was only 56"); the leg straps are 21" long allowing for many different sizes. They can slide along the back horizontal waist-strap offering several options for placement. The possibilities are endless with this harness.

The inside of the O ring is 2" in diameter, but this harness can certainly accommodate other sized O-rings. Our dildo of choice is the Happy Valley Delight which measures 1.25" in diameter; the O-ring and snaps keep it snug and firmly in place.

The Pink Candy Minx is made to ride low on the hips, like low-rise jeans. I have never found a low-rise jean to fit me, EVER. I was slightly afraid I would have the same issue with this harness, when it was assigned.

I have 45" hips and a 34" waist. When I put on my Pink Candy Minx, I still had 5.5" of adjustable straps on each side, not to mention the entire corset section (of which, can be adjusted or replaced with a shorter or longer ribbon, if desired). I am so impressed with all the options Aslan has put in place to make sure ladies of all shapes and sizes, would be happy with their purchase.



Even if you have hips larger than 60", have no fear! You can always replace the corset ribbon with a piece of ribbon customized for your size. It truly doesn't get any better than that!

From the moment I put this harness on, I kept expecting the leather straps to pull or catch hairs, or chafe my sensitive skin, or for the D-rings to dig into me. I tried squatting, bending to and fro, and side to side, and I could not make any of those things happen. I wore it for a good 30-45 minutes, just to test it out. I could not believe a harness could be this comfortable.

As I said before, I always have issues with items fitting me in the hips and for the first time a company has finally got it right! I completely forget I am even wearing it, after only a few minutes.

This being my first harness, I had a hard time getting the Minx on and adjusted exactly right, the first time. The great thing about harnesses is you really only have to do that once. You just undo one side and step into and out of it from there on.

When I put the dildo into the O-ring and snapped it in place, I expected the base of the dildo (at least at some point during pegging) to dig into my pubic bone, or at the very least, be slightly uncomfortable. I was blown away by the fact that I felt nothing of the kind. I know it sounds corny, but the harness and the dildo felt like they were part of me: totally natural.

I am impressed at how firmly the Happy Valley Delight stayed in place; I feel as though I am in complete control. Since then, I tried putting my Giorgio SoftSkin Silicone by Vamp dildo into the harness. It is 2" in diameter and quite a bit longer and much heavier than the Delight. Due to its added length and weight, I feel I do not have the same control as I did with the Delight, it seemed more floppy in the harness, and certainly required more hands-on guidance, but I am never worried the snaps wouldn't hold.

Leather cleaner wipes or mild soap on a damp washrag works nicely to spot clean this harness. Just make sure you wipe it completely dry before storing. A bit of leather conditioner on occasion, can keep your leather looking and feeling brand new. Aslan recommends a coat of clear nail polish on the riveting and D-rings to protect them from tarnishing. They also recommend you store your harness in a cool, dark place. I keep ours in the plastic Ziploc bag in which it came, inside our toy chest.

I would not say this harness is low maintenance, but it certainly isn't high maintenance either. It will require a bit of upkeep every now and again, as any quality item will.

The product came in a clear Ziploc-type bag. There were care instructions attached to the harness, along with Aslan's lifetime guarantee. It states, "If your item breaks during normal wear or if it is defective, please contact us and we will repair or replace your item."

My husband is just as happy with this harness as I am. He thinks the Pink Candy Minx is sexy and he is thrilled it leaves no marks on me. He wanted me to make sure to add that this harness has a leather panty guard or liner at the base of the triangle in the front. It will hold a dildo (the Randy worked well for us), nicely in place, if the wearer of the harness so chooses.
