La Femme, a black leather harness from the Stockroom is a far more embellished, luxury harness than your everyday two strap black leather harness. La Femme was thoughtfully designed to combine form and function, and then push the envelope just a little bit further.

This harness is meant for women, it is not unisex, and it is for women with more mannequin-like proportions. The website of the Stockroom does not imply that, but it has pictures of a model, and tells you the hip range is 28 inches to 42 inches. This beautiful harness has a low window for a dildo to slide through. You can use a Share, Feeldoe, Tango, or Nexus double dildo as well. Some harnesses have the capacity to couple two different un-joined dildos, so that one is inside the driver and the other faces outwards toward the recipient. La Femme does not have this capacity.

The dildo window is 2 inches across. You can fit an enormous range of dildos in this harness. La Femme also comes with two stainless steel O rings, 1 3/4 inches and 1 1/2 inches. I measured these to check the sizes, I also tried a 2 inch ring, in the 3 snap O ring holder, and it fit as well. You can also fit the 1 3/4 inch and 1 1/2 inch O rings in the snap in holder to hold a heavy dildo in securely.

The dildo will ride low on your mons pubis, even lower than a man has his cock naturally placed. You may have to adjust your thrusting position if you are used to dildos that ride higher in the harness. It’s funny how such a small detail can change a person's fucking style, but you might want to try it on alone before you try it with a partner. I'm not suggesting buying inflatable Goober Granny (that is so wrong!!!), but you may need to make adjustments in both your position and your partner's position as well - just as with any new harness.

This harness is not friendly to women with rounder bellies, the front part of the harness is reinforced leather, rides low, and has a higher back strap which can cause the dildo to be unsteady on most women's figures. Life is cruel that way.

La Femme is made of deliciously soft black leather. It has stainless steel hardware accents, which I coated all of the rivets and buckles in clear nail polish to prevent corrosion. If you live in a humid environment, you might want to do this. (Cars in Hawaii get decimated by rust, as do washers, dryers, refrigerators, and stoves in no time at all. Those of you who live in dry climates without corrosive air, lucky you!)

The Straps for the legs of La Femme are adjusted by buckles, and not O rings. The leather on the leg straps is soft, but it's softer on the side facing outward than next to the body. It will soften in time. I was not chafed, nor did the dye from the leather stain my skin.

La Femme may ride low in the front. It has a reinforced front codpiece that spans 6 inches from the top of its leather ruffle, to where it meets the bottom of the crotch area where the leg straps are attached, to 4 and a half inches across the front on the level of the O ring. This covers my entire pubic area, but my mound of Venus is small and flat, so I am completely covered. Some people prefer more or less coverage depending on their taste, body structure, etc. Too much coverage makes it hard for the skin to breathe underneath, and too little coverage makes the dildo slightly less stable.

La Femme buckles at both sides of the hips, has 2 3/4" leather, and pink bows on either side of the hip. Mine have curled a little with wash and wear, but where pressed back into shape with a heavy book.

The strap around the hips rises up on the lower back, and is also reinforced soft leather. This also adds stability for the dildo, and comfort for the wearer.

This well crafted harness is edged front to back in a Hello Kitty Pink zipper tooth edging. It’s a fabulous touch, and to top that all off, thin leather ruffles frame both the front of the harness, and the back strap. This is truly a thing of beauty. I would not add or subtract a thing from this design-for smaller women. (I would design a larger coverage, size friendly, woman -goddess sized harness as well! I know it would sell!)

La Femme fit me really well, but I am built like le boi. I can see this not fitting a large majority of women, even with extension straps. I did like the buckles on the thighs, instead of D rings. I like the adjustment with buckles on either side of my hips.

I have used this harness four times the last 10 days, I've cleaned it five times, it still fits perfectly.

Once I adjusted the leg straps, and one hip strap, all I did was step into it. It held my dildos securely. I tend to use long thick heavy cocks, and I found this harness supported a dildo that weighed over a pound with no drooping. Because of the low rider effect, I had to push my partner's legs up a little higher when I thrust. There was no dildo "shiftage".

I used Kiwi leather cleaner, before use and after use. I then patted it dry with a towel, and hung it in a well ventilated are to dry. The tiny instruction card it came with, said it could be disinfected with alcohol spray (70 percent isopropyl ), then let dry and condition. Do not store in plastic, it can cause leather to mildew.

70 percent isopropyl alcohol actually kills more bacteria than 100 percent isopropyl because the 70 percent solution takes longer to evaporate.

You can find Kiwi Leather Cleaner in tins in the shoe care aisle. There should be leather conditioners nearby, but read the ingredients, some leather conditioners can be very irritating.

La Femme came packaged in a plastic bag. A breathable mesh pouch would have been a better touch, but you can always purchase the storage option of your choice.

I love this harness. It's not at all good for packing; but for sex it definitely has a feminine erotic appeal, without looking "too femme" (it's still black leather!!!!).
