The first glimpse of this Parisian silky leather harness and I knew that this was something special - love at first sight, if you will. Well, if fantasizing about fucking my partner while wearing this beautiful harness is considered love... then yes, love at first sight... or fuck, whatever comes first.

Sex should be glamorous. Sex should have the continuity of allowing you feel to sexy. And when it's my husband's opportunity to be fucked in the ass, he deserves to be reminded I'm still quite femme; even if I have a faux cock strapped to my front.

The La Femme is glamorous and offers an intense 1920's charming French allure. Equipped with soft black leather ruffles that would make a Can-Can dancer swoon, and soft pink leather bows that would make the good girl in all of us ache. This is one of the most beautiful leather garments I own. The fact that not only is this harness fashionable, but extremely functional, is enough to tickle my fancy... and then some.

The La Femme is equipped with two small pink leather bows that sit atop a belt loop, used for tucking in excess strap. It also offers: a pink zipper trim that is purely ornamental, four polished silver buckles that close at the hips and thighs, and two o-rings (sized at 1 1/2" and 1 3/4") that are held down by three, dual button snaps. The crown and glory of this harness however is that it is made out of a rich, high-sheen, black leather that is truly exceptional in quality.

The leather on the topside of the triangular front, as well as the wide, oblong back piece, is a little stiff; but within a few uses it should break in, giving you that 'perfect pair of jeans' feel. The underside of the leather on both pieces is satiny smooth, and feels absolutely incredible against your skin.

The black ruffles are made out of different type of leather as are the two pink bows, where the topside is made out of creased buttery soft leather, and the underside is made out of velvety soft suede. The ruffles easily bend and smoosh as they are paper thin. Unfortunately when they bend, the zipper trim positioned directly below the ruffles will make contact with your skin.

While a majority of the harness is made out of the softest leather I've ever felt, the thigh straps had uneven edges. Some parts were smooth and some were not, this can be slowly fixed by wearing the harness repeatedly.

Though this harness is seemingly perfect, there are a few imperfections.

Even though the manufacturer (Stockroom) says the La Femme has a range of 28" to 42" hips, it will fit (at most) a US size 20 as it can be pushed to a max of 46" hips. That is a pro, not a con! However, the limited size range is not; something this pretty should not be withheld from plus size consumers.

Due to how the La Femme was made for a petite frame, those of us who have an extended mons pubis will have to fight with the harness to lay flat. And for those of us with pooches, because the harness sits so low, our swollen lower stomachs will be put on display. This in particular threw me off-guard as I'm someone that likes to wear my underwear between my hips and belly button, not directly on my hips or below my stomach. As I had the La Femme positioned under my stomach, the soft ruffled edge folded back and the pink zipper trim rubbed my skin. When this occurred it wasn't noticeable. However after visually inspecting myself after sex, I noted that the surrounding area was red and chaffed.

The La Femme was the first double strap harness I've ever used. There was a major drawback of a saggy front, if I didn't have the harness buckled tightly to the point where it dug into my thighs and hips. If you do not have a flat abdomen like me, it is incredibly important to keep all straps taught; or else the gap between the harness and your skin, plus the weight of the dildo, will cause the harness to sag and diminish your control to thrust.

The harness was not extremely easy to thrust with, but I'm still learning. I have to allow myself a grace period, to master the art of appropriately fucking a man from behind. However, as the straps go under the leg and over the butt, this allows my vagina and ass to be free for toys to be used; (on the wearer), as well as fingers, hands, and tongues. While it looked pretty during sex, the La Femme certainly didn't smell very good after sex as it easily absorbs smells from body fluid or sweat. Mixing a solution of 3/4 parts rubbing alcohol to 1/4 part water and then spraying it on the areas, helps to get rid of odors as well as disinfect. A leather cleaner and soft rag should also be used for regular upkeep as well as a leather conditioner to keep the leather soft.

Leather is peculiar and does not respond well to humidity or direct sunlight so the La Femme requires storage in a dry place away from light and heat. It should not be placed inside of a plastic bag or box for fear of mildew, but instead hung up (a closet works) where the air is clean and temperature is controlled.

The imperfections and upkeep may seem overwhelming to some, however, it is a small sacrifice to make in order to feel sexy; and I've done far worse... like wax my bikini area.
