Textured treasure - g-spot dildo discontinued by Don Wands - review by Petite Cannibal

This is the Textured Treasure G-spot Dildo and this glass dildo was manufactured by Don Wands (who happens to be my favorite manufacturing company for glass dildos!).

In my opinion even though this is a glass dildo (which means this can be fully sterilized, unlike jellies), I would definitely recommend using a condom between vaginal and anal use or if multiple people are using this dildo at the same time during intercourse. This is just extra safety precaution and I'm all about safety.

I use the Textured Treasure for vaginal use mostly, but after a bit of stimulation and prep from a smaller in girth toy I use this for anal and it does feels absolutely amazing. My partner even uses it (anally since he's a guy, of course) and he seems to enjoy it a lot. Especially if it's been heated a bit with hot water or a few quick seconds in the microwave.

With the bit of curve that the Textured Treasure has in its design it is perfect for G-spot and P-spot stimulation. It hits my G-spot just right with not too much pressure and with a little extra push (which my partner uses), he can easily stimulate his P-spot and get off with this toy.

This is my second glass toy (my first being the Gold Laced G), and the Textured Treasure is just so much thicker in girth than the Gold Laced G. It took a bit of warm up (at least for me, since I'm used to glass), before I could use this glass dildo with pleasure. So from this experience I would have to say somewhat more advanced users would be better equipped to use this toy safely, but in no way is this for a size queen; too small for them and too big for beginners.

Sometimes my partner slowly eases the Textured Treasure in at the beginning of some of our sex sessions, which is fine but like I said before, this toy takes a little warm up for beginners and other times I just use it solo. Basically, this toy is great for during sex or solo play. Even when we're having sex my partner will use the Textured Treasure (or other toys) to stimulate him (or me) anally and that works out perfect as well.

Before we get into the material, design, etc. of the Textured Treasure I want to talk about kinds of lube you can use and the odor of this toy. Since it's Tempered Glass you can use water, oil or even silicone based lubes on this little beauty. The only smell I got from the toy was from the case that held it (which was this case made out of clear, see through plastic). The actual toy had no odor what so ever.

As for any other features of the toy, there is a similar one to the Textured Treasure and I'm pretty sure it's called the Deep Water G. The only difference between this one and the one I mentioned, is that the Deep Water G is a really deep, dark blue color. The Textured Treasure and Deep Water G are the same length, girth, nubs in the same place, angle, etc. So, if you don't like pinkish/purple then you can always get the Deep Water G.

Can this toy because it's made out of tempered glass catch on your skin? In some instances, yes. If you're not wet enough, you thrust too fast and you don't have enough lube, the Textured Treasure will catch pretty easily (or it did for me). And. This. Will. Hurt. Guaranteed.

As for is this toy shiny or what does tempered glass feel like - it's very smooth and it can be shiny (even blindingly so which I found out unfortunately), in certain lights.

I love the shape of this toy. If you start at the bottom of the toy (I consider the more rounded side the bottom), the Textured Treasure is straighter for almost 2 1/2 inches, then starts curving ever so slightly till it reaches the top of the toy (where the end looks more egg shaped). Back at the bottom you'll notice that there is a ridge that starts about an inch up and curves in to make the Textured Treasure have a bulbous end. Then the glass widens again and tapers in once more, but not as deeply as it did the first time, to make a second circular like bulb at the bottom of this toy.

After the second circular bulb, they will continue straight for about a half inch, then start to curve, as I said before. Every half inch, there will be a slight bump that I'd measure at about 1/5 or 1/6 of an inch, that raises from the Textured Treasure. This continues on five times, a small space in-between each bump. This is so you feel and relax after the intake of each bump (or nub), just in case you're not used to the texture. At the last bump (or nub), there are two more nubs, one on each side. They are the same length as the rest of the nubs and raised from the Textured Treasure at the same height. After this there's a half an inch of curved smoothness, then you'll feel (or see) the Textured Treasure curve outward to where the top looks like the top portion of an egg.

The Textured Treasure measures 7" in length, 6" of those insertable (for safety reasons), approximately 4 1/4" in circumference and 1 1/4" in diameter. The Textured Treasure also weighs exactly 1 lb in weight.

Well, the Textured Treasure is Tempered Glass, so there isn't any control panel, buttons to push, or batteries needed. Just good ole' manual labor.

You can use this toy at any manual speed you're willing to go. I just recommend you apply a lot of lube if you're intending to thrust fast(er) during later use. To explain this a little more, the glass material tugs a lot, (or at least for me) on your skin. I had to lube the hell out of this toy to make it comfortable for my use. The first time I used the Textured Treasure, (thinking I could take it with only a squirt of lube) I had made the inside of my vagina bleed. Luckily, I had not torn anything major or permanently ruined anything. I'm just telling you to be cautious.

Now there's the temperature play in which you can do with glass toys. What I did to either heat or cool down the toy are as follows:

* I either got a small bucket or large bowl in which the The Textured Treasure could fit in diagonally or horizontally.
* I would then turn on the tap (or bath) and choose either hot or cold or even warm water.
* Filled the small bucket or bowl till the toy was covered in whatever water I wanted.
* I waited normally anywhere from 30 seconds to about 2 minutes allowing the toy to soak and retain a lot of the temperature from the water.
* After that, the toy was the way I'd want it and ready for use.

*Do NOT use the microwave to heat up glass toys, it can cause breakage or hot spots that will burn when used.

Since this toy isn't battery operated, you have no fear of being heard due to the toy's loudness. You can use it while company is around, in a dorm or on campus. Possibly even in public (which I haven't done).

Because the Textured Treasure is glass no charging, battery replacement or USBs/cords are needed.

What I am about to list will explain the components (or what the materiel and/or different key materials this toy is made out of. The properties, or what type of materials this particular materiel is resistant to. The care/maintenance of this material, and what lube is friendly or not.

Components

In my opinion, a glass toy is an inorganic or non-living thing. Unless you forget to sterilize your glass... Then it becomes a non-living thing covered in living, breathing, one-celled organisms that can grow into all types of fungals and STDs. Hoorah! Not. Anyway... Glass is virtually solid and was a liquid cooled at such a fast rate that no chinks, chips, lines, etc. were able to form or manifest. Glass is also classed under the name of Pyrex, which is basically a fancy word for borosilicate and tempered glass.

Properties

As said above, Pyrex is the basic material name that stronger glass falls under such as the Textured Treasure for being tempered glass. Pyrex is known for its high chemical resistance and durability. This means it can be sterilized completely and a lot more difficult to shatter. Also, Pyrex is known to break into large chunks and those painfully-too-small-to-see-chips that regular glass shatters into.

"It retains temperature extremely well and requires only a little lube for a super-slippery effect."

The part that I put in quotation marks is mostly true. The last part of that quoted sentence actually depends on whether or not the Pyrex glass toy is lightly or heavily textured. Lightly textured glass toys you can feel and enjoy and do not catch so often. As for much more heavily textured toys, such as the Textured Treasure or the three items I have compared this to require much lube.

Hygiene And Maintenance

Glass is extremely smooth and nonporous and easy to clean with soap and water or sex toy cleaner. Use condoms if sharing.

Added Parts: I have used the dish washer with my two glass toys and they seem completely fine with being washed in there. I check for chips or cracks to be sure and so far so good.

In conclusion, this toy can be cleaned by dish washer or hand scrubbed. It can be used in the bed, a Jacuzzi, the shower or completely submerged, and even in public.

The package the Textured Treasure came in was a kind of bulky, clear, see through plastic package. Though this is after you take it out of the initial box, which was a sort of tall, smooth, black box that displayed the name Don Wands italicized pink at the top. On the front of the box there was a see through film that allowed you to see into the box and see the Textured Treasure. Unfortunately, I no longer have that package and am unable to give you pictures of it. Other then that there was no extra packaging (like a padded pouch of some sort) that came with it for extra storage use. The actual package itself can not be used as a storing unit either. There was also no instructions, labels or warranty papers that came with this glass toy.

The package is definitely not discreet. It had hard ridges with an extra plastic piece that kept the Textured Treasure in place, but of course this was after you removed it from the Don Wands typical black box it comes in. I would recommend wrapping it if you wanted to give it as a gift and they wouldn't be able to tell what is then.

I usually look for discreet looking vibrators (but that's only if I wanted to take them to a guest house or something). Other than that I don't mind the rumbly or louder toys as long as it's not loud enough to be heard over a moderately loud sounding commercial. Personally it ruins the experience or session and turns me off if the toy is too loud. Luckily, this one is glass so no worries in that department.

I also LOVE texture hence why I chose the Textured Treasure. Just enough to make me feel and do my business.

Even though this toy didn't have a base and since I had a small enough O-ring on my harness (that I had gotten mainly for use on my partner), he added the Textured Treasure to the harness and entered me vaginally and anally, or DPing, which most people call it. He entered me anally with his penis, since he likes anal so much and I don't mind it since it feels pretty good after a little foreplay is had, and used the Textured Treasure on me vaginally (but only when we were using the harness, since this proves to be easier than entering me vaginally, and using the toy on my anally).
