The Inked Glass Shaft by Cal Exotics is great any way you want to use it. The silkiness of glass is always great to slide back and forth over your clitoris, and the head makes some amazing stimulation for your G-Spot. This dildo is long enough to self penetrate anally, and the head of the toy is rounded enough to give you that "POP!" in your anus, without any "OUCH!". To say the least, it is a wonderful, very basic glass dildo, with a cute "tattooed" design that makes it a work of art.


This dildo is made purely of tempered/Pyrex glass, so it is perfect for any type of temperature play you are looking to do. You can easily heat this toy in a glass of hot water to keep you warm on those chilly nights. If you're not into the heat, pop it in the fridge for 10 or 15 minutes, and take it out to experience an orgasmic blizzard in your south pole!


Always use caution when thrusting a glass toy of any length, because you can bruise your cervix. This toy has a curve, making it even easier to reach your cervix, so be careful! Take your time getting used to this toy, and gradually begin to thrust harder as you feel more comfortable.

This product is made of tempered glass, also known as Pyrex glass/ Borosilicate glass. Borosilicate glass is a type of glass with the main glass-forming constituents silica and boron oxide. Borosilicate glasses are known for having very low coefficients of thermal expansion (~3 × 10-6 /°C at 20°C), making them virtually resistant to thermal shock, more than any other common glass. Pyrex glass can be heated to temperatures between 425°F - 600°F, depending on the production company. Nonetheless, you could easily heat a glass toy in the oven without self-destruction. However, it isn't exactly recommended. Such glass is far less sensitive to thermal stress and is commonly used for the construction of reagent bottles.


You can also find Pyrex glass in your kitchen. Glass baking dishes and mixing bowls are often made of Pyrex due to how well they can withstand heat and cold. This makes Pyrex glass great for temperature play. Just be sure not to go from too hot, to extremely cold, TOO quickly. This can actually result in your toy breaking. You should always let your toy either warm up or cool down to room temperature before switching.


This toy has no bumps, nubs, spikes, swirls, ribs, or any type of texture other than the slightly prominent mushroom tip. Therefore, this glass dildo is better for G-Spot or anal stimulation, rather than intense, all-over stimulation. I don't find this to be issue, because sometimes, less is more.

The design of this toy is very basic and very simple. You have your mushroom tipped head, with a somewhat prominent rim, and a slightly curved shaft for G-Spot stimulation. This toy is definitely more of a beginner's toy but can be enjoyed by advanced users as well. I always tell my friends that you have to have that break once in a while from the crazy, more advanced toys. Sometimes you need a little less texture and a little more simplicity.

You can below see that the curve is barely even a curve. Just enough to better fit the vaginal canal, and reach your G-Spot, but slight enough to be less intrusive. Like I said, this is a great toy for the beginner's to both glass and dildos in general.

I think the size is just enough for anybody. The circumference is medium sized, so it isn't big enough to scare anyone, but not small enough to leave you dissatisfied. The head makes up for any pleasure lost by the smaller circumference. The length was perfect for solo play, and I could easily thrust while laying flat on my back.


The "inked" tattoo-style design across the mid shaft is really cute. Not so much realistic, but it wasn't meant to be. Cal Exotics was definitely going for more of a Ed Hardy look, rather than an actual tattoo. I find it to be really fashionable.


This toy is discreet in a way that it doesn't look extremely realistic. I will openly admit that when I was too cheap to buy toy pouches, I disguised this dildo as a bracelet holder on top of my dresser. My mother never once found me out, and even asked if I could buy her one for her bracelets (chuckle). If you are one of those who like to display your toys, the base makes that very easy for you.

This glass dildo performed quite well. The painted tattoo-style design around the middle took away from the silky texture that you get with glass. It was still smooth, so don't get me wrong. This dildo just required a little more lubricant to feel silky against my clit.


Thrusting was a breeze thanks to the base, that doubled for a great handle. I mentioned earlier that one should always get used to thrusting with glass very slowly. It isn't like other materials and will not bend for your shape. No one likes the feeling of a bruised cervix in the morning!


This glass dildo is not harness compatible - at least it shouldn't be. I have seen it done. And since it has the flared base, it would work. I just don't really recommend it. Metals rings can easily chip a glass dildo, and thrusting can be painful using the full force of another's body. There are harnesses that use rubbery rings, which might be better. Some don't even use rings at all. So if you are determined to use this little guy with a harness, take one of those routes.


I find the head of this toy to be the best part. Something about the shape of it is just exquisite. The simplicity of the shaft added to the slight curve also makes this dildo one of my go-to toys. Especially when I'm having cramps, menstrual pain, or if I'm sore from using a more textured toy the night before. Everybody needs to have at least one toy like this in their collection.


As far as anal play, this dildo is the bomb. I find it to be especially nice with a partner's assistance. When you relax yourself, you can feel the rim of the head so much more, making your experience all the better. Nonetheless, it is really easy to use by yourself. The length is the perfect size for solo play. You don't need much lubricant at all since the glass is so smooth, which is another plus.

Glass is fairly easy to care for. You probably wont find another toy that is this easy to take care of! Since Pyrex glass is non-porous, you can wash it using any soap you darn well please. Hand soap, dish soap, toy cleaner, or Isopropyl Alcohol solution. Antibacterial soaps are recommended for the sake of any germs that are sitting on the surface. I use a Bath & Body Works hand soap.


I start by rinsing my toy with warm water and then applying a nickel-sized amount of soap to the glass piece. Next, I massage the soap all over using my hands or a towel. To make sure that the toy is as clean as possible, I use a soft-bristled toothbrush to gently scrub all over the toy and remove surface scum.


You can also dishwash your toys on a medium/low heat cycle, top rack, with a glass-friendly detergent or boil for 10 minutes in a large pot. Before using these methods, you should always check your glass toys for air bubbles. Air bubbles are common, and happen when the glass is being blown. They often go unnoticed since glass is clear. Air bubbles can cause your Pyrex glass toys to break into pieces under high temperatures.

Once you're done washing your toy, you can simply dry it off and store it any way you please. I keep my toys in heavily padded areas to keep them from developing scratches, dents, cracks, etc. Toy pouches like the Phallix Pleasure Pouch are wonderful because they keep your entire toy padded, and make it easy to store the pouch anywhere you please, in your dresser drawer, toy box, purse, luggage, etc. How you store your toy is up to you but take care since this dildo is made of glass.

This dildo comes with minimal, standard plastic packaging. The packaging was made to be hung on a metal rack at a toy store, and is similar to the kind of packaging you commonly see with bullet vibrators. You simply snap/cut the edges of the plastic case to remove your toy. It is not sealed around the edges, so you probably wont need to cut it. I had to cut the left corner of mine because it must have been snapped closed too tightly, and was dented together. I'm sure this was just a little defect in the packaging.


There is a red paper inside of the package with an "inked" design. Nothing naughty or nasty on the cover, so it is discreet. If your kids find it, it wont be much of a big deal. At the most you will have to explain why you can afford Ed Hardy for yourself when you can't buy them any! The designs make this dildo look strikingly similar to those of Ed Hardy!


I personally wish Cal Exotics took a little more care when packaging this dildo, since it is made of glass. Considering the great price I got it for, I'll have to be content that it wasn't broken upon arrival. On the bright side, the packaging is recyclable and easy to throw away. Great if you live in a house full of nosy people!


Unfortunately, you will recieve no care instructions or a storage pouch with this dildo. As far as storage goes, you are completely on your own. So be sure to purchase one off of EdenFantasys before checking out! Even a cheap one will do just fine.

I do want to comment that this toy arrived at my home in perfect condition, in spite of the horrible packaging. There were no blemishes on the surface of my glass dildo, and no visible air bubbles. This dildo washed successfully in the dishwasher and was boiled without any issues. The design on the surface did not scratch off a bit, even after being scrubbed pretty hard. This little guy is a trooper! No wonder he has a tattoo! He's tough!
