Platinum silicone super - realistic dildo discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by PandJ

I bought this toy specifically for anal use because of its moderate texture. It is well suited for anal, vaginal play, or anything else you can dream up because it is made of 100% silicone. It stands quite nicely on a flat surface, making it easy to squat down on. The balls on the base make for a great hand grip if you want to do a bit of thrusting. The base also guarantees that this will not get lost when doing anal. Although there is no suction cup, there is a small lip on the base that has allowed it to stick to walls in my shower for a minute for two, but then it ends up falling down. This feature helps to keep it in place (to an extent) on the bathtub floor. Another feature that prompted me to buy the Platinum Silicone Super is that it is harness compatible, so when I finally make the foray into being pegged, I will keep this guy at the ready.

Doc Johnson really did an amazing job at making the head of this dildo very realistic. The head is quite large, and upon insertion you can really feel the different parts of the toy. The silicone is quite soft and supple, which makes it incredibly forgiving. While the toy is 1-5/8" in diameter, the amount of give that the silicone has makes it feel just a tad smaller. I cannot say for certain how realistic this toy feels while being inserted, but I sure do love how the toy transitions from the big head to the deep veins on the exterior of the shaft while making its way inside. It makes for great sensations when using the toy anally. The texture of the balls is also pretty fun to play with because, if you can take the whole length, then you get to feel the balls pressing up against your skin. I do not believe that the texture is so extreme that it would be limited to only more experienced users, but I think that anyone looking for some serious textural stimulation can benefit from adding this to the toy drawer. As is the case for many other silicone toys I own, there has never been any odor coming from the toy.

The design of the Platinum Silicone Super is really full of detail. The portion of the dildo on the underside of the shaft has a large ridge that runs all the way down the shaft, which is quite realistic. The ridge gives the toy more of a diamond shape instead of just circular. The veins are raised quite high, and the head feels just like mine does! Although my dick is not near as veiny as this toy is, I still consider it to be realistic enough that it does not look funny. I have this in the purple color, and I find it enjoyable that it looks like it is from a fantasy world. I think the size is spot on, and the length is very proportional to the diameter. The head is the widest part of the toy, so if you can take that, the rest should be a breeze. I would love to see this same toy offered in a larger diameter (maybe closer to 2").

I use this toy as a warm up when I plan on playing with my bigger toys like Ringo. Playing with the texture of the dildo certainly gets me going, and once that head hits my ass it's like the skies open up. The toy is fun to thrust because of the raised veins, but it is just as well suited to being kept in with the ridges of the head. There really is not much about this toy that I was unhappy with. Considering I bought it specifically for the texture, it has performed flawlessly.

Silicone toys are best used with water based lubes, so steer clear of silicone based! It will pick up lint and hair, like most other toys, so keep it away from the carpet and such. After use, this toy can be washed with soap and water, or if you want to sterilize it, throw it on the top rack of the dishwasher or boil it for about 10 minutes. It is super easy to use, clean, and store. It stands up on its own quite well.
