Inked glass probe - glass dildo discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Alicia

This toy is both my first experience with glass toys and also my first experience with a non vibrating toy. Actually it's also my first g-spot toy so this toy fulfilled a lot of firsts for me. I chose this toy because it was fairly inexpensive (especially for glass toys) and it's shape allows it to be used both as a standard dildo and also a g-spot dildo. Two for the price of one, can't beat that!

I was highly impressed with the feel of the glass and by the shape of the toy, it is a good length for being able to reach the g-spot but it could stand to be a bit larger so that not as much pressure and thrusting was needed to really get the job done. I had my husband use this toy on me and got much better results that way. He said that the handle (the bulbed end) was easy to hold and was comfortable and he had no issues with using it. I felt that the angle and size of the toy made it difficult to use it on myself with as good of results. For us this will be mainly used as a a couple toy rather then a solo toy.

The way the bulbed side progresses seems like it was made for anal usage. It might be a bit large for some but with a lot of lube it would probably work out ok for someone with some experience with anal toys as long as you're careful and have a good grip on the curved end.

Being glass this toy is easy to sterilize, easy to clean and it can be shared between partners. After play it can be easily cleaned with soapy water and it's good to go for the next time..and with this toy there will definitely be a next time! I have read some concerns regarding the tattoo design flaking off, I have not personally had this happen and I have tried testing it with my fingernails to see if there were any areas that would be likely to flake. I was not able to flake any ink off and if you run your fingers around the design the only area that seems raised is the anchor itself. I'm not sure if this is purposeful for it to stand out or if this area just did not meld as well into the glass. California Exotics has stated that the ink used in these toys is lead free and is safe for use. Since I have no reason to believe otherwise I've also deemed this safe for using internally but I will be checking it after each use to ensure that the ink is not able to be rubbed or flaked off. For future models of inked products it might be better if they added a layer of glass over the design to prevent any concerns one might have.


I am also enjoying glass for it's smooth feel and it's ability to warm up to the body's temperature quickly. It's also versatile since it can be used room temperature or chilled with cold water or warmed up with hot water. Being able to use it for temperature play is a great way to keep a toy exciting and fresh and prevent you from getting bored.

The packaging of this product was very basic. It comes in a plastic casing and does not include a storage pouch like a lot of glass toys do. If you're not worried about the look of the toy in the packaging it's not a concern but if looking for a glass gift to give as a gift it might not be the best choice.

I still absolutely love my Inked Glass Probe. And I'm very happy to report that NO part of the tattoo has rubbed off, it stands up to brisk cleaning too and there's absolutely no change to this tattoo. This is the dildo that made me fall in love with glass and it's still my favorite of my two glass toys. It's perfect for g-spotting and the bulbed end makes a great handle to hold onto. I still can't say enough great things about this toy and it's managed to hold it's space in my go to drawer since I've bought it. I think I'd even give this 5 stars now, I love it so much.
