Scout - realistic dildo discontinued by Tantus - review by Ansley

Scout is my very first Tantus dildo. The realistic shaped dildo is made of 100% high-grade silicone that is body safe, free of harmful chemicals and can be thoroughly sterilized with boiling water or soap and water.

The packaging is simple enough. It is a clear, rigid plastic box with another plastic mold inside to keep the dildo lint free. Inside is a clamshell that is molded specifically for the Scout.

It's not a very small box, but it does fit in the bedside drawer. If you only one or two toys, this is not a problem. For those of us with a large collection of toys, a different storage case might be a good idea.

The packaging is kind of a pain to get into from the top. The bottom is much easier to pry apart and get back together in the end. The clamshell can be difficult to completely close so that you can slide it back in without struggling. I recommend just tossing it out.

Scout is made from ultra premium platinum silicone. This is not a dual density dildo like the Vixskin models. This means that it feels solid through and through, but still maintains a flexible shaft and base. It does not have the realistic feeling that the Goodfella or Buck models have. The realistic shaped head and veins add a nice touch, though not much in terms of texture.

I have Buck, Scout and Goodfella. Out of the three, Buck is my absolute favorite because of the girth but the Scout is a close, close second. Scout is really flexible and bends mostly at the base of the dildo. This is due to the half inch gap between the shaft and the balls; this gap also dips slightly so it would be perfect for a four-point harness. It is not ideal for a three-point harness or panty-style harnesses that require a pronounced base like Buck's or Goodfella's.

Because this toy is flexible without being floppy, I found that penetration was a breeze and it doesn't weigh very much so my arms never got tired. The balls provide an amazing base to hold into for hard, quick thrusts. It's also quite suitable for a variety of positions, from behind to reverse cowgirl to missionary.

The head of the dildo flares just a little bit wider than the shaft does. I really like this because I can definitely feel it hitting my g-spot and gliding against my pubic bone. I was worried that it would rub that bone just a little too much, but I found it was a pleasant experience. I didn't feel overwhelmed by it at all.

The center measurements are for the circumference of the dildo. The diameter is just under 2" wide.

This truly is a high quality dildo and you just can't shake a stick at that price. The texture is velvety and does the job quite well! It only comes in black but we'll talk about that in the experience section.

It is boilable, bleachable, dishwasher safe and shareable if cleaned properly between uses. It does pick up the occasional piece of lint, but it doesn't seem to attract it like some of the other silicone dildos I've had.

As usual, you can use high-grade silicone lubricants if you spot test it on a portion of the dildo first, but water-based and oil-based are also perfectly fine.

I really love this dildo and if I didn't have the Buck, it would be my go-to dildo every single time we play. I love the fact that it's black and it is the first black dildo I've ever owned. It clearly shows vaginal fluids while in use, which is quite erotic for the person watching.

I didn't have any trouble with the size of this dildo, but I think if you take into account what is in my collection of toys, I can clearly be called a size queen. I like them big and I like them rigid but flexible.

I also really enjoy the fact that it's virtually smooth. You can feel the veins when you run your hands over it, but you can't feel them when the toy is inserted. I didn't experience any drag to the material at all and I didn't find myself reaching for the bottle of lube on the nightstand, either.

There's no odor or weird aftertaste, and that's something I've come to love about silicone dildos. Nothing is worse than a toy that stinks!
