More Alluring Than I Thought

This is GREAT for g-spot stimulation. It is really meant for vaginal penetration; it has no base at all so it should not be used for anal play. Since it is glass, you could also use it for temperature play by warming or cooling it. Couples could definitely have fun with this, or it could be used solo. Since it is glass, it can be used in water, just take care not to slip and drop it. It is thick glass, but it is still glass and could possibly chip or break if dropped.

This is smooth, glass, but it does have texture. The one side has raised up bumps on it, the other has a raised up swirl going to the middle of it. In the middle, it is not textured, but you're going to have to be okay with textured toys to use this. I never really go for textured toys, and wouldn't expect something as hard as glass to have a comfortable texture on it. However, the texture on this does not bother me. Granted, I'm not all that interested in the bumpy side, but the swirled side doesn't bother me. The texture isn't too much on that side. If you know that you like texture, or rigid textures like these, you would probably enjoy it.

It is Pyrex glass, so it is completely non-porous. It does not have a smell, and I don't see how it would retain any. It is very easy to clean and maintain.

The shape and firmness of this really makes it ideal for g-spot stimulation. It has enough length to it to hold onto it while using it. It's a good size for average users of penetrative toys, it has a 1 1/4" diameter. That's about the size, give or take a little bit, of many commonly used vaginal toys. The look is not overtly realistic; it could be a paperweight or something if people really didn't know what it was for. So many glass toys have that quality. I think the shape and size of it would be much fun for partner play. There is a very slight curve to it, so that aids in g-spot stimulating. The textured parts are red, the rest of the toy is clear. In certain light, the red parts can look more pinkish.

This is glass, so no batteries needed, no chargers required, and no buttons to fuss with. It is very straight-forward. There are no instructions needed, and it can really only be used for vaginal penetration, so it's just a matter of figuring out your own personally preferences for using it from there. You could run it under hot water, or chill it, for temperature play. I would be wary of keeping it in a freezer, since it's glass. Again, It does not have a base, so it's not meant for anal, and it's not harness compatible. It's comfortable to use, but the texture could be a bit much for some. Again, I do not like super textured toys typically, but this one is okay by me. I much prefer the swirled side, as the nubs are a bit to rigid and too much for me. However, I could see myself getting to like the bumpy nubbed side under the right circumstances. I just realized that if you wanted, you could probably even put a vibrating ring in the middle of the toy, so it would be dual-stimulating! That could make this toy even more fun. If you really need clitoral stimulation AND g-spot stimulation, I could see that working out really well. I tried to put my Mio over it, but the Allure is too narrow so it's not a snug fit. A ring that will fit a toy with a 1 1/4" diameter will work, the Eden Vibrating Ring seems to fit fine (although I find those to be much too weak for me).

Care and maintenance of this toy is very easy. Again, being that it is Pyrex, it is totally non-porous. You could clean it with soap and water, or wipe it down with some toy cleaner. As for storage, it comes with it's own pouch. The pouch is thin, and not padded, so maybe you'd want to keep it wrapped in the bubble wrap or something, if there is a risk of it getting thrown around. If you are just keeping it in a drawer, or stored away somewhere in the pouch, that should be enough to keep it from getting damaged.

This toy did not come with any info or instructions, but I hardly see how that would be needed. Perhaps a warning that it is not for anal use, for those who might not know better, could be useful. This toy came wrapped in bubble wrap, inside of the red velvety storage pouch that it comes with. I really do like that this comes with it's own storage pouch, not enough toys do. The pouch does not have a care tag, but it has a velvety texture, and I would handwash it and hang it to dry. It fits the toy nicely, and makes storage easier and more discreet. The red pouch does not have any text or anything on it, it is a plain red pouch. It is bright red, so in that way it may draw attention, but nothing about it would tell me there is a sex toy in it if I caught a quick glimpse.

In all my time reviewing toys I had only tried one glass toy, and I was sorely disappointed. That experience really put me off of glass toys, and made me pretty much totally lose interest in trying any others out. The hardness of the glass wasn't something I loved when I tried it either, so I stuck with silicone after that. However, a few months ago when I was placing an order, this Pink Allure was available as a free gift. I couldn't help but think about my less-than-great experience with glass before...but if it's free why not, right? I figured I had nothing to lose in adding this to my order. To be honest, this ended up getting stored away for months, until recently. I was going to give it away, but then I decided to give glass another shot. The shape of this toy was a lot better than the first glass toy I tried, and the overall design of it is a lot better. Not to mention, the pink texture on it actually seems to be colored glass, and NOT paint that peels off of the glass like my bad experience with the Icicle I had tried.
