The best thing about this toy is it's versatility. It's double-ended with the two ends having different textures. This was my first textured toy and my first glass toy, and I love it to the point that I can guarantee I will be buying more glass toys. Be careful when using it though, it's easy to accidentally go too hard and bruise your cervix. This toy does not have a flared base, and therefore I don't recommend it for anal use, unless you know what you're doing. In addition, being pyrex glass means that this toy is suitable for temperature play, though I haven't tried it myself.

This toy is made of Pyrex Glass (otherwise known as borosilicate glass), which is a hard material that is highly resistant to chemicals and temperature changes. Pyrex Glass is shatterproof, so even if it were to break it would be into very few, large pieces rather than millions of little pieces. There is no taste or smell to it. My favorite feature about it is that you need very little amounts of lubrication because it's such a smooth material.

This toy is 8 inches long with a slight curve to it. It's not very wide, with a diameter of 1 1/4 inches (circumference of 3 3/4 inches), but is still a decent size. The shaft itself is clear, with the textured parts at either end (what I would describe as corkscrew at one end, and bumps or studs at the other) are red. It's quite beautiful, but I'm left wondering where the name comes from.

As I mentioned above, this is my first glass toy. It's also my first textured toy. The first thing I should mention about glass is that you need to go slow, and be careful, or else you can end up hurting yourself. I had heard that warning before, and was prepared to listen to it, but my first time I got overexcited and carried away and hurt myself. I started off very slow, got to the point where I was enjoying it and instead of gradually increasing the speed and force at which I was going, I just jumped to what I would have normally done with a softer toy - fast and rough. So, I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, be careful! If you come to a point where you're comfortable going faster, do so GRADUALLY, it's really easy to get carried away in the moment. Aside from that, I discovered, using this the first time, that glass is a perfect material for me because I don't produce much moisture of my own. Using this toy, it's so smooth that you don't need much moisture at all as it glides so easily. Even the textures, as I mentioned above, are really smooth and aren't raised too much so that doesn't detract from the smooth statement. I expected this toy to be heavy, but in contrast it's very light, both to hold and during use - my arm didn't get tired at all when using this as has happened with other toys.

The benefit of having textures at both ends is that, no matter which one you're using, you have a grip on the other side. I was able to grip the studs when inserting the corkscrew. Gripping the corkscrew when inserting the studs was a little more difficult for me, but still very helpful. I discovered that the bumps are great for rubbing against my clit, but do nothing for me as far as vaginal penetration goes. On the other hand, the corkscrew isn't as fun for my clit, but feels AMAZING during penetration.

This toy, having been sitting in it's pouch in my bedroom, was cool because of the room temperature, and I enjoyed that very much. Beyond that, I have not experimented with temperature play whatsoever but this toy is quite capable of being used for it. You can cool this toy off in a freezer or bowl of cold water, and it will retain the temperature well. You can also heat it up in a bowl of warm water, but whether you are cooling it down or heating it up, you should always be cautious and check the temperature on your arm before putting it elsewhere so you don't hurt yourself.

I also have not tried using it for anal because of the lack of flared base, but someone who knows what they are doing with anal play and is very careful could most certainly use it for that.

Pyrex Glass has a safety rating of 10 out of 10, making it the safest material of sex toy there is (next to silicone.) It is a food-grade material, is completely hypo-allergenic, non-porous, and has no latex or Phthalates. Because it is non-porous it is extremely easy to clean and sanitize, and can be cleaned with soap and water or a toy cleaner. There are no seams or ridges anywhere on it, not even the textures, so even the textures are easy to clean. However, you may want to take an extra minute just to make sure the textures get really clean.

I've read that it is also dishwasher safe and can be boiled for sterilization, which means it can be shared. It's also worth noting that Pyrex Glass is compatible with silicone, water, and oil based lubricants.

I store it in the velvet pouch it came in, in a box next to my bed. I would definitely not store this anywhere where it could fall, because hard impacts such as falling could break the glass, but beyond that it should be fine anywhere you want to store it.

This toy came wrapped in bubble-wrap and inside of a red velvet pouch. The packaging is nothing fancy, but it served it's purpose and I store the toy in the velvet pouch inside of my toy box.
