The Awesome Blossom glass dildo is safest in the vagina. The base is too small for me to recommend sticking it safely in your butt. There isn't much of an angle to it, but with some maneuvering you can hit your g-spot. You can use any type of lubricant with it. The glass makes it great for temperature play. Temperature play is when you put the toy in a bowl of warm or cold water, depending on your preference. I would recommend taking it slow with this toy, because the texture can become overwhelming and painful if used with vigorous thrusting. Though, the ridges can be very pleasurable when used externally.

Other uses : The Awesome Blossom's textured shaft can be used for a nice topical massage. Or it can be used for texture for baking. If you're into ceramics, the texture will also work well with clay.

The Awesome Blossom is made from borosilicate glass (aka Pyrex or tempered glass). It's completely sterilizable and rates a 10 on the Eden Safety Scale. It's non-porous and pthalate-free. One of the best things about borosilicate glass toys, is that you can use any type of lubricant for play. This is great if you have a favorite lubricant you're unable to use with other toys, for fear that you may damage them. No worries, it won't damage the glass. Another great thing about borosilicate glass is how safe it is. If you're afraid that you're going to snap this toy on your pelvic bone, don't be. I've dropped this toy and it didn't even scratch it. Though if you throw it at a concrete floor, the results will not be the same. Even then, the glass is made to break into large chunks, rather than shatter.

The texture of the Awesome Blossom is really intense. There are ridges that start at the base of the smooth head. The texture can hinder longer toy play. The ridges are approximately 2mm in height, and roughly the same apart. The texture spirals down the entire shaft, to the base. The texture does make it easier to handle if your hands are slick with lube.

The design of the awesome blossom is that of function and beauty. The large, smooth strawberry shaped-head is slightly tilted for g-spot stimulation. The shaft is girthy with extreme texture. It is gorgeous and the fact that the base allows it to stand, makes it great for displaying the lovely yellow flower that's blown inside the head. The base is on the small side and makes it difficult to hold on to when in use. The texture on the shaft does allow you to hold on to it better, even with you hands covered in lube. The texture is definitely for those that prefer it. I'm not huge fan of extreme texture and it left me overwhelmed. Keep the ridges in mind when thinking about this toy.

I went out of my comfort zone when I bought the Awesome Blossom. I'm not the biggest fan of textured glass, and I thought perhaps I would enjoy this one. The first time I used it, I enjoyed it for the first few thrusts, but soon I was needing a break. I don't have big lips, but this one made it feel like the ridges were being grabbing and pulling them. Not the best feeling. I was amazed how loud it was. The ridges hold the lube and that mixed with the thrusting, makes for a loud session. The sound is like that of wet slurping. I tried to cork screw the toy, while using it, but it proved to be rather difficult. Since the ridges are set close together, and there so many of them, it's difficult to effectively cork screw without tiring your wrist I did find that I liked it when I would use it for external stimulation. The texture felt incredible and put me in the mood. When I did use it for long thrusts, the texture was too much. Short thrusts and pressure, worked well to hit my g-spot. I wasn't able to get off with toy, as the texture proved to be too much. I would only recommend this to someone who knows they like extreme texture.

I'm a huge fan of sterilizable toys. As soon as I get a new, sterilizable toy, I boil it right away for 3-5 minutes. If I'm not able to do that, I soak the toy in a 10% bleach solution. Now, with this toy, because of the extreme ridges, I take a toothbrush (that's I've designated for toy cleaning only) and clean it with soap and water.

The box the Awesome Blossom comes in is not great for storage. I keep it in a cosmetic brush bag. I wouldn't recommend keeping the Awesome Blossom in a place where it can be dropped, things can be stacked on it, or in a way that it's going to be hitting other glass. I know that it's strong, but it is glass. So why tempt fate? You can keep this in a cosmetic brush bag, plush bag, a sock, or any other thing you can think of that will keep it from clinking.

When I saw the packaging for the Awesome Blossom, it was obvious that it was made for a shop display. It's not the most sturdy thing I've ever seen. It's all plastic with a plastic positioner that hold the toy in place. It is pretty to look at though. It has fun designs and a window for you to see your toy immediately. I didn't find that the packaging was really functional for storage. So in the recycle bin it went.
