It's amazing how a branch from a fruit tree can be transformed into such a fantastic toy.

I will never look at Cherry trees the same way again.

Hardwood dildo 197 comes in Cherry (beige) or Mahogany (brown). Mine is Cherry. It looks somewhat darker than the picture on this site - closer to the color of the Mahogany version.

It's absolutely smooth and shiny. Clearly much time was taken in the sanding phase of its construction. It's quite shiny. Each Hardwood dildo receives a minimum of five coats of a Salad Bowl Finish, a non-toxic, body safe coating.

Don't worry about splinters. There is no risk of that with this toy. It's sanded thoroughly. I didn't see even the slightest area where a splinter might form. You're no more likely to get splinters from this than from a well made wooden chair.

It's lightweight, scent-free, and intuitive to use.

Dildo 197 is eight and a half inches long with a circumference at the larger end of five inches. The circumference of the smaller end is three and three-quarters inches. While each one is handmade and may vary from the shape and specifications to some extent, mine looks and measures exactly as shown on this site.

197 is both smooth and hard. It feels good to run your hand over it.

It comes with a deep purple velvet storage bag with a ribbon drawstring closure. It would make a good travel toy since it's so lightweight and has that wonderful storage pouch. The storage pouch fits it perfectly, like it was custom made for this toy.

The shape and design of this gorgeous toy is nearly perfect. I only say 'nearly' because I don't know whether it would feel even better (if that's even possible) if the large end were a little larger.

I have enjoyed using dildo 197 more than I can express. A few nights ago I dreamed that the sky was filled with beautiful colorful bubbles. I was so happy to be in the midst of the dazzling bubble display. This toy reminds me of that dream in that every time I use it the experience is intense and pleasurable and I'm just so very happy afterward. It could be that dildo 197 inspired that great dream.

I swear it has magical powers.

Could it be that the Cherry wood atoms vibrate at just the right frequency for G-spots? Or it's a combination of the size, hardness and the amount of drag wood provides against G-spots. Whatever it is, its a winning formula.

Hardwood dildos are easy care toys. I follow the suggestion on the hardwood dildos website and wipe it down with a tissue after use. This toy is just for me; the finish is smooth and hard enough that this amount of cleaning works. I hesitate to wash it under water if there's any chance that extra water exposure could degrade it.

The instructions say to wash in water, then dry. But they also say it's ok to just wipe the toy down and wash occasionally. I prefer to do whatever will best preserve it.

It comes with a storage bag, making storage quite easy.

It arrived inside its velvet storage bag and inside a plastic bag. Minimal, but exactly the environmentally friendly packaging I prefer.

I actually was inspired to write to Hardwood Dildos to tell the one-man shop how wonderful I've found both the Hardwood dildos I own to be. I've never felt the urge to do that about a sex toy before.
