Jelly flex prober - traditional vibrator discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by God is a Woman

I just got this toy in the mail today, and wow was I excited! After opening my self-care package [See what I did there? ;)] and got this bad boy out, I was impressed. It was big- but not an intimidating sort of big. The big that makes you lick your lips in anticipation. There was a distinct rubber scent to it, however it wasn't offensively strong. I'd always been excited to touch a jelly toy ever since watching someone wave one around in a comedy movie. So of course, I did just that - and let's say that so far I'd realized that it was Jelly. It was flexible, but will it probe?


To put it simply, it felt amazing. It reached places my house-hold solutions never could. The thickness was amazing, the vibrations were easily felt, and it rocked my world. Afterwards I washed it with Classic Erotica's Before and After Adult Toy Cleaner and put it back into my pleasure chest. [I made another pun, if you didn't notice.]

First I'd like to touch on the material. This toy is made out of Jelly, which is a soft and porous material. Because of this, there are plenty places for germs to play hide and seek. Be sure to clean with a good disinfecting spray, like I mentioned above, or soap and water. I plan on doing both; before and after, between daily uses or 'naughty sessions', and soap and water when it's been a while between playing.

Jelly Rubber is made of polyvinyl chloride, and can contain rubber softeners (phthalates) in it. Phthalates have been linked to serious health problems, so using a condom is a smart choice. Be sure NOT to boil your jelly toys! You also should never share your jelly toys unless you wrap it up in a condom first. Avoid strong soaps, and keep them in a cool and dark place. Water and Silicone based lubricants are the only lubes you should use for them. I've also noticed that any dust or lint will automatically stick to Jelly's sticky surface, so cleaning before use is a must unless you want a dusty pussy.

Next, let's go on to the vibration part of this toy. I was very surprised and pleased with how quiet the vibrating motor is. It is virtually silent beneath a comforter, and especially if you've got the air conditioner running. The vibrations are decently strong, I've nothing to compare them to but, they definitely tingle down deep inside of you. The vibrator is controlled by a turn-dial at the bottom of the toy, which can be frustrating if your fingers slip while you're in the heat of the moment.

I also complain that I seem to rub my fingers sore from the plastic indents on the plastic battery cover. Unless I am just an over enthusiastic thruster, I think this might pose a bit of a problem unless you adjust your handhold. This little number takes two AA batteries, and lasts for about 20-30 minutes, at least on two re-chargeable batteries (All I had laying around). Using something more heavy duty [like Duracell] may get you longer vibe time, I'll have to pick up a pack and find out for sure.

After getting it nice and washed up I realized that not only did dust and lint stick to it, but when you dry it with a washcloth (or some sort of clean rag), the lint from that sticks to it. So I would advise using paper towels to dry it off, and avoid unfriendly residue. This toy is NOT waterproof, so be careful when you're washing it, and shower play is a big no-no. With this clean toy in my hand, I decided to practice some of my rusty oral technique. It doesn't really taste like anything, if you wash and rinse properly, so this is a good test to be sure you're doing a good job! Because it has no taste, it's great for practicing.

I don't think there's anything else to say about this fun little number. In conclusion, I say Buy it! For 17 bucks, it's a great addition to any collection, no matter if you're just beginning, or already have a few.

About a week ago, I popped in some batteries (I leave it without batteries in always, kind of an OCD or something) and got myself worked up. I placed the head on my clit, turned the knob- and nothing! It refused to turn on. Now that I was turned off, I got up and fetched some new batteries, desperately- again there was nothing. It seems that my beloved hot pink jelly cock has died! ALREADY! =(

I am sure that it wasn't water damage, I was very careful when I rinsed or washed it. Somehow the battery just quit on me... My jelly flex prober has now been demoted from Vibrator- to Dildo. I am very disappointed and am going to be ordering a new vibe soon. If this is a common problem, I would definitely drag it down from my original 5/5 stars, to 3/5 stars.

Overall the JFP had great potential, and delivered like a horny virgin- Desperate to please, but didn't last long.
