Gotta love a hot pink dildo!

Overall, the Jelly Flex Prober was a great buy. It’s a versatile, vibrating dildo that is the PERFECT size and length for what I purchased it for…

extremely useful review
About a month ago, I set out to find a realistic vibrator that would be a good choice for anal penetration. There were many things that I had to take into consideration when it came to this hunt.

For starters… size. One of my favorite toys is the Hot Pinks Butt Plug. It’s a great plug and one which for those who have read my review of it, know I dearly love. But it’s also very large, and one I have to be in a particular mood for. Also, because it’s a plug, you can’t really do much thrusting with it.

I wanted to have something that I could thrust, something that would create more of the sensation of actual anal sex. But I also knew I wanted something with a circumference a little bit smaller than the Hot Pinks Butt Plug (which is 6 inches at its thickest part) so I wouldn’t require as much of a warm-up in order to accommodate and enjoy it. I also wanted something that was long. Most dildos are shorter than the Jelly Flex Prober is, and that would have been problematic for what I needed it for.

Other factors such as vibrations, realistic shape, and texture came into play as well. In the end, out of all the other realistic vibrators I looked at, the Jelly Flex Prober seemed like it was the best possible candidate for what I was looking for and that prediction turned out to be enjoyably accurate.

The Jelly Flex Prober is 8 inches long and 5 inches in circumference. The circumference makes it perfect for using anally, as it’s thicker than beads and slim anal probers, yet not so thick that it would make it unpleasant for those not experienced with larger toys.

The length is also right on the money, because not only is there no chance of “losing” it (which is a serious concern with some of the smaller dildos and traditional vibrators that don’t have some sort of wide base designed to keep the toy from getting away from you during anal play), but there’s also enough there to hold on to as you thrust. It allows you to easily decide how much you want to take in, simply by where on the shaft you wrap your fingers around. The first couple of times I used it, I took it in halfway to just a little bit past the halfway mark. Now, I can pretty much take in the entire suggested insertion length.

Not only are the dimensions pleasing for using it anally, but the texture and overall look of the toy is wonderful. The subtle vein work and the shape of its head look realistic, yet they are not as thick or prominent as some dildos. This is a good thing to have in a dildo that’s being used as an anal toy.

The only drawback is the toys’ flexibility. Yes, I know it has “flex” in its name, but this toy can be a bit difficult to insert, particularly when it’s slick from lubricant. It has the tendency to either bounce or bend in the wrong direction and hanging onto it during this little tête-à-tête can be an exercise in patience and dexterity!

However, once its head begins to slip through the ring of muscles, its smooth sailing the rest of the way, and there’s no further difficulties regarding its flexible nature. But as the anus is a tighter orifice than the vagina, I don’t think this would be a drawback for those planning to use it vaginally, which is what its primary purpose is for. Then, I think it would be a plus, as it’s a softer toy than most and some women prefer that to the harder toys when using something vaginally. It just depends on your point of view...
Experience
I did have one other difficulty with it the first few times I used it. Because this dildo doesn't have “balls” to it, and only a slight curvature, it’s easy to lose track of which way it’s turned once you get it inserted and begin thrusting. It took me a couple of confused sessions before I realized the designer of this toy actually took that into consideration when casting its mold. The answer to this dilemma is a perfectly placed “vein” on what I consider to be the “front” of the dildo that flows down the shaft all the way to the battery casing. It’s subtle, but there. Upon discovering that, I had no more difficulty with it rotating on me in the middle of a session.

It does have a nice vibration level, but as I’m a power queen, it could have more. It’s not as strong as my favorite plug mentioned above, but still passably fair. The vibrations are lower in the shaft though, which may be annoying for those who can’t accommodate most of its length vaginally. It works GREAT for anal penetration though, as it puts the strongest vibrations in direct contact with the sphincter muscle.

Now, as far as using it vaginally, I have not done so, and have no plans to. As this toy is made from jelly, it would be a very bad idea to use it both anally and vaginally without the use of a condom, as simply using a toy cleaner is not going to completely rid it of all bacteria. This same reasoning would also apply in cases of sharing it with a partner for what I would hope would be obvious STD related concerns.

As I will never use the same individual toy for both anal and vaginal penetration (and I do not share my dildos or plugs PERIOD) it being made from jelly isn’t a hindrance for me.

But as far as vaginal use is concerned, I do believe that this toy would work well in that area if you were not that experienced with dildos or sex in general. (If you are more experienced, you will probably find a better suited toy elsewhere as this one does strike me as more of a “beginner’s dildo” where vaginal use is concerned, but again, that depends on personal preference.) As I’ve mentioned above, it’s flexible and therefore softer. It is a smaller circumference (without being too small) and it’s a good length that lets you decide how far you are willing to go with it. It’s also a multi-speed vibrator that lets you set the pace, without overpowering those more sensitive to vibrations and the texture of the veins and shape of the head are pleasing to the touch without being too prominent and bulbous. It doesn’t look as intimidating as some of the others, which would also be a plus for a beginner or anyone who is looking for a toy that isn’t as thick or imaginatively shaped as a lot of the realistic vibrators and dildos out there are.

And come on… it’s hot pink. You gotta love a fake penis that’s hot pink!
Follow-up commentary
Now, as far as my personal experiences go with using this toy for the purpose that I bought it for, they have been VERY satisfying. The little three inch in circumference starter dildo I was using for anal play took a one way trip into the garbage can the day this baby came in the mail, and the Jelly Flex Prober has been getting quite the work out since then. I'm still in the “honeymoon phase” of the relationship, where each time I use it I seem to come better than before. The last time just two nights ago was no exception…

As always, a bullet on my clit is my favorite accompaniment to anal play. First orgasm was in doggy style position (first time I'd tried that with this toy) and it was amazing. Second orgasm came after I curled into myself, resting the side of my face and arm on the mattress with my knees tucked underneath me. Now this time, I came harder than I ever have with anal play and that's saying something. I literally saw stars (in a room with no lights on, I might add), my ears rung, and I was trembling so much that my legs didn't want to work when I tried – I repeat, TRIED – to make it to the bathroom to clean my toy.

I can count on ONE hand how many times I've orgasmed so hard that my ears rung, and even then, I never had a difficulty with keeping my legs underneath me when trying to walk! Lol!

That experience alone was worth the price of admission. `Nuff said. ;)

Nice thorough review! I suppose the length does preclude it disappearing inside the ass, but there is no actual base that would prevent that, so it's not impossible.

Like CW said, I personally would rule out anal play since there's no flared base. But to each their own! Great review.

Jeez, write a novel why don't you!? haha.

CW and BB - Let's just say it won't happen on accident! lol! You would have to be very experienced with anal toys and even then you'd still have to lose it on purpose, which anyone who would be that experienced, would already know that is a serious no-no. This toy is LONG! I understand your concerns, though. I have another realistic vibrator that I love to use anally, but its not one I would recommend using in such a way to just anyone, as I have to watch that one a little bit closer.

Epiphora - I have, actually... several of them! (grin)
