Use

The Jollies Thrust is a uniquely shaped dildo that's fun to use in a variety of ways. While it's designed for g-spot stimulation in the female bodied person, it's perfectly safe to use anally as well. With its enormous base, it's not in any danger of visiting where it's not invited.

Since the insertable length is on the shorter side, you're never in danger of bruising the cervix with an overenthusiastic thrust of the Thrust. The girth is not intimidating for beginners, while more experienced users will be pleasantly surprised at how well this weird little wonder does its job.

It excels at solo use, and seems like a good choice for partner play as well.

Material / Texture

Phthalates free and non porous, silicone is a body safe material you can trust. The Jollies Thrust has no odor or taste, and the texture is smooth. There is a visible seam on the toy, but it's barely noticeable -- I only notice it when cleaning, as it can feel like a bit of stubborn lint when you're soaping it up.

The firmness of the silicone in the Thrust seems to vary between toys, as the one I received, in dark purple, is firmer than the very floppy blue one shown in this excellent video review which helped inspire my purchase. Mine is floppy, with almost as much movement to it in use as the one shown in the video, but it's firm enough to stand up without falling over.

Design / Shape / Size

The shape of the Jollies Thrust is like nothing I've seen before, at least outside of science fiction. Add a couple of googly eyes and possibly a little bow tie, and it would make quite a convincing alien. In fact, dressing it up would be a fine way to hide it in plain sight, if you're so inclined.

The size seems small on paper, with a diameter just over an inch and a quarter, and the insertable length is somewhat less than advertised, at an estimated five and a half inches (maybe there's another half inch available, if you contort the bullet hole out of the way), but in action the Jollies Thrust is quite adequate for the task at hand.

More than adequate.

The weird shape presses the bump right up against the g-spot in a way that feels different from other toys, and surprisingly filling.

Performance

The Jollies Thrust unseated the larger Fun Factory Curve as my very favorite thrusting toy, proving that size really doesn't matter, it's all about the motion. The unique shape of the Thrust allows for quite a bit of variety in motion, both in depth of penetration and the speed of the thrust, and it focuses its attention the g-spot.

Once you figure out how best to hold the base -- I found the bullet hole to be quite useful as a handle, and the base is quite substantial on its own if you try using a bullet -- then I recommend taking the time to explore the options the Jollies Thrust has to offer. Rock it against the g-spot, or try rapid, shallow thrusts to massage it. Or thrust with wild abandon. It all works.

As for the bullet hole, it's the right size for the Jimmyjane Little Chroma, which can then become a vibrating, if awkward, handle, or it fits the bullet that came with my Tantus Echo quite nicely. The silicone transmitted the vibrations adequately. For intense vibrations, hold something like the Mystic Wand against the base.

Overall, the Jollies Thrust is a versatile and satisfying toy.

Care and Maintenance

The Jollies Thrust is a solid piece of non-porous silicone, so for sterilization purposes it'll survive boiling, rides in the dishwasher, or a spray-down with a 10% bleach solution. Always sterilize a toy before sharing it between partners or orifices. For regular cleaning, it'll appreciate a hot soapy bath, or a good spray-down with your favorite toy cleaner. A toy wipe or unscented baby wipe will clear it of lint immediately before use.

Never use silicone lube with a silicone toy, as the chemicals that keep the silicone slippery in the lube will seek to make your silicone toy join the silicone in the lube, with heartbreakingly sticky results. The Jollies Thrust is definitely best used with a water based lubricant.

It's also important to store silicone toys away from toys made of silicone composites, so that the chemicals in the composites don't try to seduce the silicone into a bond that you will regret. I store my Jollies Thrust in a small cosmetics case from the free trade store, and it seems happy.

Packaging

I love minimal packaging, so I was delighted when the Jollies Thrust showed up in only a bit of plastic with the stock number on a paper sticker. Not the most impressive presentation for gift giving, perhaps, but definitely an environmentally friendly option.

For instructions, return to EdenFantasys.com and read all of the wonderful reviews, because Jollies included nothing with the toy.

Personal comments

I am completely in love with this toy. I was pretty much just drawn to the weirdness of it, and I'm delighted with just how functional and fun I've found it to be. I highly recommend the Jollies Thrust.
Follow-up commentary
I'm still heartbroken over the demise of Jollies. Their toy designs were unique and spectacularly effective. If I ever win the lottery, the first thing I will do is -- okay, the first thing I will do is any number of wonderful things for myself, my family, and society in general. The first business investment thing I will do, however, is to track down whoever needs tracking down so I can buy the rights to these fantastic designs and get them back onto the market again.

My Jollies Thrust is one of my most frequently used toys, and I wished I'd bought more than one back when that was possible, because I'd like one in each variety of Jollies silicone. Mine is the firmer variety, and I'm very pleased with it. It of course shows no signs of wear or decay, and I expect it to last for many years to come.
