A Kissa Love!

OK, we received this toy back in the middle of February. My wife and I have had plenty of time for experimentation with it, so, on to the review:

The Kissa is made by our own beloved Edenfantasys. It a very unique designed toy, in the fact that it can be warmed, or cooled, depending on your personal preference, and it has a vibration motor to boot. It's all packaged nicely in a waterproof housing. The color is two shades of a wine color, the battery housing differing from the body of the toy.

The toy, from the uses we have had over time, is best suited for the all over body massage, or the warm-up before playtime. That's not to say that it doesn't suit other functions. The only function I would definitely rule out is anal use. There is no protection for keeping this toy from being fully inserted and not being able to retrieve it.

This toy is well suited to the beginner. It does not offer strong, intense vibrations, that may deter the more experienced users. They may find that the ease and texture of glass a bonus.

Through all of our usage of this toy, we have found that it is better as a couples toy. It works great for the all over body massage, but it can tease the clitoris, labia, nipples, the perineum, and also the G-Spot. Let me elaborate more on the G-Spot. Using this toy as a solo user, the design of the toy would make massaging that area almost impossible. There is no curved end, the shaft is rather short, which both make the angle to reach the G-Spot almost impossible for a solo user. As a couple, the drawbacks are taken away. The head being slightly larger than the body and being riddled with nubs, makes it easier for a gently G-Spot massage. The angle is steep, but is not a problem for your partner to achieve.

The Kissa is made from two primary materials. First, there is plastic. Plastic is Hypo-allergenic, latex and phthalate free. The second material is tempered glass. Tempered glass is a form of glass that has been hardened. There are three basic types of glass. Regular glass, which is easy to break and breaks into sharp splinters, tempered glass, which is harder to break and breaks into small pieces without creating the splinters, and a glass such as Pyrex, which is the hardest to break and breaks into larger pieces and no splinters. This toy is in the middle, which means that it can be warmed or cooled, but not to a great temperature extreme. Don't boil, but you can use warm water for a different experience. You can also cool the toy, but remember, the colder you make it, the harder for the motor to operate. Also, don't cool it and then expose it to too much of a higher temperature. This isn't Pyrex.

There is no smell to glass or plastic. The glass and plastic have a perfectly smooth feel to them. There are small glass beads formed into the head and a glass swirl on the body to add texture. The toy is completely rigid in structure.

The Kissa is 6 inches in length. The glass body is 4 3/4 inches long, which is also the insertable length. The base is 1 1/4 inches long. The control button, which is at the center of the base, extends 1/8 of an inch from the base. The head of the vibrator is 1 1/4 inches long and has a diameter of 1 1/2 inches(including nubs). The glass body is 1 1/4 inches in diameter and the swirls are about 3/32 in height. Each glass nub is 3/16 of an inch in diameter and protrudes from the base approximately 1/8 of an inch. There is over 50 nubs on the head of the vibrator.

This vibrator was designed to make it easy for travel. It can fit in a purse or be stored in a suitcase. I wouldn't recommend air travel with it. I would have to recommend it for both beginners and advanced users. Although for more experienced people may find it weak in the vibration section, the texture of the head does seem to be satisfying. It can also serve to massage the whole body. The small nubs on the head are hard, smooth and small enough to really relax those sore muscles. Now, going a bit off the beaten path, have you ever heard of dynamic tension? It is a way to build and tone muscles by pitting them against each other instead of using weights. This toys shape and size makes it quite nice for doing the old arm curls.

The swirl pattern also has a two-fold function. It gives extra texture to the shaft when it's inserted and it also provides a great hand hold feature for the massage and the teasing times.

This particular vibe will never be known for its intense vibrations. It has one push button on the base. It has three speeds, which are quite easy to change with the push of the button. It also has the great design feature that it would be almost impossible to accidentally change speeds when in use. The vibrations are on the low to lower moderate scale, but they do work nice in the all over body massage. Yes, if that were its only purpose in life, it would be worth owning. The vibrations would probably do beginners quite well. They have more of a gentle, soothing effect, rather than the get up and go feeling. The vibrations are more towards the head of the vibrator, but in all aspects, the entire base receives them. This is due to the length and the hard materials this one is made from.

I have to give it two thumbs up in the noise section. This vibe is on the quiet side. On low and medium, it can barely be heard through a thick blanket. On high, it's about half of a battery operated shaver. This one would work great at a hotel, or even the in-laws.

This toy is waterproof. To-date, we have had no signs of water entering the battery compartment or switch. It has had plenty of showers, but only two baths. Water does not effect the vibrations of this toy.

Care and maintenance of this toy is quite simple. You cannot boil this one. Regular soap and water work fine. You can also use a toy cleaner or alcohol if the need arises.
It is compatible with all lubricants. Even glass head with all the nubs is easy to wash off.

This toy is powered by one AA battery. Make sure you have a spare on hand. Also remember to remove it when you store this toy. Be aware of the o-ring when you install the battery for use. Make sure it is clean and in good working order, before you take this near water.

Please remember to check the toy on arrival for any cracks or glass imperfections. Also, check it if you drop it or hit it hard with anything. This glass is common to shatter, when heated, at these sights. Don't throw it away, unless it's major damage. The arm curls and body massage will still work.

Eden was also nice to send this one with a cloth, pull string bag. It makes an excellent storage spot for this toy. You do not have to take extreme caution to protect this toy, as it is tempered. Just treat it like you would a ceramic coffee cup. Make sure you inspect it from time to time.

One last comment on this subject. If you share, put this guy in a condom. I recommend not to share. Some things aren't worth the risk.

The packaging for this toy is a cloth bag with a drawstring enclosure at the top. You just pull the string to close and push the plastic button to open. The only manufactures logo is on the toy itself, on the base.

There is no real need for extreme measures to protect this one. Its size and the fact it is tempered glass with a solid core, make this a tough one.

The bag is extremely discreet. The toy itself, could probably pass for a body massager instead of a vibrator, to people who expect the traditional vibrator type look.

This is one of those toys that goes to the phrase, the more you use it, the more uses you will find for it. It does wonders as an all over body massager. It does not require any lube or oil to perform this function. It is also great as a teaser. It may not have the Va-room feature to it, but it nicely starts off the mood. It is more of a gentle toy and yes, with extended periods of use, you should be able to climax.

As I stated before, I do think it offers more to the sexual experience by being used as a couple. The short length and straight design make it a bit hard for a solo user to reach certain areas comfortably. Anyone who likes glass textured toys should find this one desirable. This is our first glass vibrator and we are still learning new uses for it. Now, on to my wife's thoughts:

When this vibrating glass toy first arrived, I honestly can say it was intimidating. This small toy is full of texture from about 1/2 inch off the base to the very tip. The head of the toy that is covered in bumps is what I think what intimidated me the most. The raised ridge spirals that run down the shaft are next in line.

The Kissa is a sight to behold, I adore the deep, rich color. The size is perfect for holding in the grasp of your hand. The push button control makes it easy for even the novice to switch through its three settings.

As I was not comfortable enough at first to experiment with this toy vaginally because of the textured intimidating look, we took it slow. We started our journey with using this as an additional tool for sensual massages. The Kissa works great for being able to hit sore muscles and leaving you feeling completely relaxed.

The next step was to try it for "teasing" and sensual play. All three vibrations give wonderful sensations to nipple/breast play. It is exceptional for giving perfect clitorial attention, while I could not go "over the top" with this vibe on its own, it is great for getting me jump started.

The last step on our journey was vaginal insertion. It took along time to get to this point, but with the help of my husband's choices of intimidating rabbits and the other textured glass wand I tried, this glass vibrating toy looked tame. With my husband behind the wheel of this thing, g-spot stimulation was possible. It was not direct, but this would brush up against and tease. I think that if this was used solo, it would be difficult, if not impossible, to achieve g-spot stimulation of any kind.

I would recommend this toy for beginners that are adventerous and willing to try more textured vibrators. Advanced users could appreciate the compact way that this textured toy is made. It can be used for both solo and couples play, but I prefer couple play. It seems to work better when someone else is controlling at the helm, at least that is my experience.

I enjoyed watching myself graduate from being intimidated by this toy to, in the end, feeling so comfortable with the vibrating glass Kissa that it seemed benign. This is an interesting design to a wonderful addition to our collection.
