The Kissa goes where?!

The Kissa glass vibrator is not something that I would recommend for beginners or those new to textured toys. It's very simple but provides powerful vibrations that travel well throughout the toy and provide great clitoral and g-spot stimulation if you're built for it. It provides a very full feeling and could be completely worth it to the right woman...but for me, it's a toy that will be seldom used while I continuously wonder why I got this to put in my vagina.

Use

The Kissa is a traditional, textured glass vibrator manufactured by EF. Made of glass and plastic, this toy is waterproof, easy to clean, and easy to use. The nub-covered round head and swirled, short shaft provide amazing sensations as it's thrust in and out, and the nubs lend to a tickling sensation when used externally. The toy is best used for external teasing and vaginal use; since the toy has no flared base, it really has no practical applications for anal play.

The motor does not make a lot of noise even when the toy is on high, so in terms of sound the toy is discreet. You can use the toy anywhere, and thanks to the padded pouch, you can throw it in an overnight bag without worrying about the glass getting chipped.

Material / Texture

The Kissa is made of clear, tempered glass and a metallic red plastic; two extremely safe, hypo-allergenic, phthalate/latex free materials. There was no smell to the toy right out of the package. The toy is textured with the head being covered in little nubs and a spiral running down the shaft making it ribbed. If the toy was just one texture or another I'd be confident in recommending it to those new to texture, but the combination may make it a little intense for some.

Being made of tempered glass (a form of safety glass), the toy might be more apt to chip and break if you drop it. It also may be 'shocked' more easily if going from one extreme temperature to another. That being said, the toy does hold temperature really well and works great for temperature play. Running it under warm or cool water, or just holding it in your hands to heat it up works the best. You shouldn't try to microwave, bake, or freeze it.

Glass is an extremely rigid material with absolutely no give at all. Be careful when thrusting, as you may easily bruise yourself.

Design / Shape / Size

This particular toy is on the 'short and fat' end of the spectrum. It's only about six inches long with 5 of those being the insertable length. However, it's almost two inches in diameter, which made it almost impossible for me to insert without a lot of foreplay and prep. If you're on the petite side, you're probably going to need some lube; thankfully, this toy is compatible with all types. The head is covered in nubs and the shaft is swirled, which adds a little bit to the overall girth of the toy.

I thought the toy worked like it was supposed to. There was a definite difference between the low, medium, and high settings, and even on high the toy didn't make a whole lot of noise. I don't think that the toy is intended for g-spot stimulation, but if you're built just right, it will hit and hit well. It's not very discreet unless you plan on keeping it in the padded pouch at all times. However, it travels well and the pouch is thick enough to protect it. The pouch is also big enough to carry the 1 AA battery required to make the toy work.

Overall, between the textures and size, I'd not recommend this toy for beginners.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Kissa is controlled by a push button on the bottom of the toy with a black '3' on it. Each push cycles it through to the next setting, and then to 'off'. Despite being very simple to use, you have to push the button fairly hard to get it to cycle to the next setting.

The vibrations are centered in the shaft but can be felt throughout the entire toy. The toy isn't noisy. I couldn't hear mine through a closed door, and when I was in the room it sounded like a cell phone vibrating. The push button doesn't make a clicky noise either. It's really quiet and I only realized I pushed it hard enough when the vibration setting changed.

The toy is waterproof, and the waterproofing works wonderfully. I wouldn't recommend fully submerging it because of the button, but use in the shower, or running it under a tap to clean with the end cap on is perfectly fine.

Care and Maintenance

Care and maintenance on this toy is really easy. Because it's glass and plastic, you can wipe it down with toy wipes or cleaner, or even soap and water if you have the end cap on and battery compartment covered. You can't boil it to fully sterilize it so use a condom if sharing. It's compatible with all types of lubes.

Storage is easy too. The padded pouch provides great protection from lint and fuzzies. It can be stored anywhere, but make sure you take the battery out to prolong battery life and accidental turn on of the toy.

Packaging

The toy comes in a really non-discreet package. It's a clear plastic bag with cardboard stapled over the opening that gives the name of the toy, the manufacturer, and instructions on how to insert the battery. It also says that the toy is waterproof. It's not suitable to store the toy, but the black padded pouch included is great for storage.

Experience

My experience with the Kissa has been bittersweet. I've only been able to use it a few times, not because of defects or anything, but because the toy is almost too big for me. The toy felt amazing once I managed to get it in, and I'm anatomically built for great g-spot stimulation, but overall I had to give the toy a 3-star rating. I have other toys that work better for me and provide more than the three-setting Kissa can.
