A Perfect First Toy

The little flower's small size and mild vibrations may be perfect for a beginner. More experienced toy users may want something stronger, but it's a good choice for a toy of its size and shape.

Use

The Little Flower may find its main use as a clitoral stimulator, though it can also be used for vaginal penetration as well. Those with lower G-spots may find this long enough to hit theirs, but the straight design is not ergonomic and may not find your G-spot at all. I found it was just the right size for thrusting, and may be held between the labia or inserted into the vagina while your clit is being taken care of some other way.

I tried using this as a legitimate massager, but my neck and back were not impressed. This toy is obviously meant for more sensitive areas.

This vibrator is great for a first toy. The size and shape are non-threatening and easy to insert. The vibrations are mild enough for someone to feel out how their bodies react to vibrations. It is also very pretty, and would be a great gift.

Material / Texture

The side of the box claims the Little Flower is made of "ABS Material." ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) is a plastic that is non-porous. According to Wikipedia, ABS may be recycled, but can be damaged by sunlight. Store this toy in a place away from sunlight.

Out of the box, the Little Flower was scentless and not sticky. It looked clean and ready to use, but you should always wash before your first use.

The material is rigid with a soft, plush texture. It cannot be bent at all, but it doesn't feel too hard.

The flower pattern is slightly raised. I can feel the pattern with my hands and inner vulva, but I can't feel it in my vagina. It's subtle enough to be interesting instead of annoying, but I wouldn't say it adds much "oomph" to its performance. It also has a metallic ring separating the battery cap from the shaft. This seems to be made out of plastic, rather than actual metal.
    • No odor
    • Rigid
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

The Little Flower is tapered and a little larger than a super tampon applicator, a size between one and two small fingers. The battery casing is barely larger than the AA battery it requires. I noticed Rayovac batteries were better suited to the Little Flower than Duracell because they are slightly smaller and easier to remove.

Depending on your preference for size with toys, this may be either a good or bad thing. If girth isn't a must have for you, you'll definitely be pleased with the Little Flower.

It's small enough to travel with, and if you need to put it in a spot smaller than the original box, you can hide it anywhere, although it is easy enough to recognize as a vibrator.

It is also small enough to be unobtrusive when held between bodies.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrations are most concentrated in the tip, although they can be felt somewhat evenly throughout the toy. You might even use the handle end against yourself, although the vibrations are the most muffled there.

The 2 speeds are both constant vibrations, with a "low" and "high" setting. I would describe the low setting as a weak, low rumble, and the high setting as more of a high-pitched buzz.

The Little Flower uses a push-button control. You must cycle between the 2 speeds before you can turn it off. You must press the button firmly, which can be hard to do when it's inserted.

I tested the Little Flower's noise level by putting it on high while uncovered on a bed. It can't be heard in another room through a wall, but it can be heard right outside a closed door. If you fear people in the hallway, a good blanket or some background noise will cover the buzz. The low setting can hardly be heard under a blanket and can't be heard from outside the room at all. My noise rating reflects the maximum amount of noise it can make.

The packaging claims the Little Flower is waterproof, but there seems to be a defect with my toy. When shut all the way, there is a slight gap between the base and the metal ring of the shaft. I can move the plastic seal up and down the "screw" part of the battery compartment. It does not seem to be watertight. I'm not sure if this is true of all Little Flowers or just mine, but if your toy is like this, I suggest you never completely submerge it.

Care and Maintenance

Plastic can be used with any kind of lube, and I have used silicone and water-based lubes with no problem. It can be cleaned with soap and water in the sink, or rubbed with isopropyl alcohol. I have washed this toy with antibacterial soap only once when I first got it, and the material clung to the scent. I recommend using only unscented products with this toy.

The design doesn't make the toy any harder to clean because it is very shallow, but the defect does. This gap collects fluid while in use and has to be detail cleaned. I also dry the inside after washing to make sure no droplets of water have made it past the gappy seal.

I've found that the Little Flower is pretty resistant to lint. It looks just like it did the day I got it.

Packaging

Identity Crisis

When I first received this package, I was surprised to see it was labeled "Little Honey," as there are several other vibes with that name on EdenFantasys, all manufactured by Shaki Toys. I don't think it was put in the wrong box, however, because the window is perfectly shaped for the little flower. Perhaps Shaki Toys is revising the naming of their products? Either way, the box has no gratuitous pictures, but it does have the words "SEX TOYS" on the top and back. Not discreet, but not terribly embarrassing either.

The packaging could be used as a good storage box. It's not a perfect rectangle due to the portion meant to be hung on a shelf, so it's less than ideal for gift-wrapping. There were no instructions on the box, but the material, size, and type of batteries needed are listed on the box. The box also claims the product is waterproof, which may or may not be true of your individual toy.
    • Good for storage
    • Not discreet

Personal comments

I notice that this toy seems to be the exact same thing as Sex in the Shower waterproof vibrator by Sportsheets. I would have bought Sportsheets' version if I had known about it before the Little flower because it is slightly less expensive and comes in blue. I'm not about to own 2 of these, but when it dies, I will probably replace it with a Sex in the Shower vibe.

That, and the defect with the waterproof seal are the only things keeping me from giving a 5/5 score.

Experience

The Little Flower was my first sex toy, and first order from Eden. It's left me with a very good impression of not only Eden, but sex toys in general.
Follow-up commentary
Although I've gotten stronger and fancier toys, I still like the Little Flower. It's the kind of small and quiet toy everyone should have room for in their tool boxes.

Great first review, the only question I can think to add is what kind of lube is compatible with the material?

Beck: You can use oil, water, and silicone based lubes with plastic. I've used both silicone and water and it's held up just fine.
