Ahhhh Aries

This is a great beginners toy, it is easy to use and even easier to maintain. While it is quiet, it lacks in power; two very important items to keep in mind when purchasing any toy.

Use

The Astrovibe Aries by Fun Factory vibrator can be used for either clitoral stimulation or vaginal penetration. I found it to work better for clitoral stimulation. It is not recommended that it be used anally as there is no flared base to keep it from getting lost. This vibe can be used by beginners or the more advanced user alike. You can use the Aries either solo or with a partner whichever you prefer.

Material / Texture

The Aries is made of Silicone which is rated a 10 on the Eden's Safety Scale, this material is hypo-allergenic as well as latex free. Upon opening the package I did not notice any scent to this vibe. The upper end of this vibe is shaped to appear like a ram's head and the lower end is smooth. I thought I would enjoy the texture of the horns and nose of the ram; the material is soft enough and flexible enough that I did not really notice it though.

Design / Shape / Size

The Aries measures 7 1/2 inches in length of this 6 1/2 inches are insertable and the last inch is the plastic base. The circumference is 5 inches and the diameter is 1 5/8 inches. This appears to be about average for most vibrators on the market, the girth may be a bit large for beginners though. This vibe is not discreet at all. If traveling with it you should remove the batteries to ensure it does not accidentally get turned on.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Aries is powered by 2 AA batteries that are inserted by removing the plastic cap located at the bottom of the vibrator. It is very easy to change the speed of the toy, you simply turn the red section of the cap and the speed with change, turn it back to power it off. The higher the speed the louder the noise level. This toy is not waterproof.

Care and Maintenance

If using lube with the Aries you should avoid silicone based as it may have a material reaction, instead go for a water based lube. Cleaning of this toy is easy, you can use toy cleaner, wipes, or simple soap and water. Care should be taken to get in and around the ram's "horns" as they are a great bacteria breeding ground. I store my Aries in a plastic bag.
