When I first saw the Lighted Shimmers Hummer I thought it was strange. It looked like a toothbrush, but for your clit. Then I actually got the item and was looking at it. Since the vibrations are controlled by a dial it is easy to change the speed. It you accidentally move and hit it, it will change on you. I also found that it doesn't like to stay on the highest setting. It likes to go back down a level unless you are holding the dial in that position.

This toy has a small LED on the base that changes in brightness with the intensity level. The faster the speed the brighter the light. The light does cause the base to warm up a bit, but not hot enough to burn you. At least not with the amount of time that I had it turned on.

This toy is very easy to care for since there is really no texture or grooves to clean between and should be washed after using.. I just use soap and water or a toy wipe. Since it is made of just plastic it doesn't collect any lint so no need for pre-play cleaning. I just keep it in a drawer near my bed or in a package with other toys. It can be stored with anything.

Since the toy is made of plastic you could use just about any kinds of lube on it. If I were to use lube, I would use water-based.

This toy came in a small cardboard box with the picture of the Lighted Shimmers Hummer on the front. There is toy information on the back. Inside the box the toy came in a plastic bag along with directions for inserting the batteries. There are no nude or obscene pictures on the box, but it clearly shows what is in the box.
