May be good for a starter...

The Lighted Shimmers Hummer is a vibrator meant for clitoral stimulation. It has a point on top meant to target the clit. It could also be used to stimulate the anus externally or even your nipples. It would definitely be good as a teaser for couples. I'm not sure if it is meant to be inserted, but it is pretty long, so it might be. If you can find your G-spot with this, congrats. Definitely do not insert this in the anus because it does not have a flared base. This toy would be best for a beginner or just as a warm-up to sex. I think women who enjoy a lot of vibration might like this, if they can find a way they like to use it. This toy is good for shower play or couples play, but definitely not good for dorm or roommate living.

It is made out of hard plastic, so it's compatible with all lubes. It is very smooth to the touch, but you can feel the seam going up the toy with your finger. It doesn't have a smell or taste to it when you open the package.

The Lighted Shimmers Hummer has a wavy shape leading to a bulb at the top that has a finger groove on one side and a precision point on the other. I bought the clear purple one. It is 7 1/2" long, with 6 1/2" insertable length if you want. The base is 1" wide. The finger groove is 4 1/2" long, and the point at the tip is a 1/2" long. It has a waterproof seal inside the battery compartment. The design seems perfect for targeting the clit, but it's actually quite a challenge. It's so long that I would assume it can be used for G-spot stimulation, but I had no such luck. This toy is very obviously a vibrator, and it's a little big for travel.

It has a turn dial base that gradually goes from low to high. The turn dial on bottom can turn down accidentally if you bump against it. Turning it on is easy, but finding the way it works best is not. I am very sensitive, and the low was barely noticeable, whereas the high was way too extreme for me. The blue LED light inside gets brighter the higher you turn the speed up. The motor is at the top, but the vibrations are so strong they lead all the way to the base. This toy is pretty freaking loud, and I could hear it above the shower and radio. It is waterproof, and it worked perfectly in the shower.

Since it is plastic, it's very easy to clean. You just have to wash it with warm water and mild soap or a toy cleaner, and dry it with a towel. You could probably store it anywhere you like since it won't collect lint or hair.

The toy came in a cardboard box. The front has a picture of the toy and name. The back has another picture of it and a short description along with warnings, etc. It didn't come with instructions other than how to insert the batteries. This box shouldn't be used as storage, but you could if you like.

As soon as this arrived in the mail, I was ready to get to business in the shower. Putting the batteries in was a tight squeeze. I liked the design, and the light inside was pretty. I tested out the speeds and was very happy with the variety. Once I got in, I started it up and realized immediately that full blast was not only extremely loud, but also way to strong for me. I turned it down slightly, and it was good, but trying to get that point to find the clit over and over proved difficult. I decided to be adventurous and tried turning it around and using the finger grip part. That worked a little better, but still wasn't enough. I tried inserting it, and it was pretty uncomfortable, especially turned up full blast. Finally I found that if I put the point on my anus, pushed the part further down the toy against my clit, and worked it that way, it felt pretty amazing, but still no beans. Finally I gave up and had to grab another toy to finish the job. Once I was finished, I went to clean it and tried taking the batteries out. I had to bang it over and over before I could get them to stick out enough to pull them out. It was a pain.
