The Lighted Shimmers toy is probably my most recommended toy I own. The reason being is the power that it has, for its size and price, is INCREDIBLE. I have used wands and such before and there are some that don't hold a candle to the power behind this one. I love the size, easily held with one hand, very portable, varying speeds (!!) and I can't brag enough about the power. The secret with this particular Shimmers toy is the two sides; the first one, that encases the entire clitoris, is great for "building up". Because this toy works with a dial, you can start with low vibrations and "turn it up". The first time I used this the "highest" setting was intimidating, but now I love to use it to tip me over the edge. The small bulbous tip is great to concentrate all the power in one particular area, so it gets incredibly powerful on that side. I haven't been able to use the bulb tip on the highest setting because it is just too much-maybe others would enjoy it! Another GREAT advantage of this toy, besides being waterproof, is that it is great to be used with another person. This is a strictly external use toy only-clitoris specifically. I have used this with a partner during either missionary or girl-on-top, and adding that extra stimulation, especially with how powerful it is, well hot dang! This and my vibrator I have lovingly named "Black Mamba" (who's manufacturer I cannot remember and it is a huge regret I don't) and they are a match made in heaven for each other!

However, there are several downsides to this toy.

First off, I do not understand why it is a "Lighted" toy. For the life of me I will never understand these types of toys because if you need a light to get to where you're going, we have other issues, and it isn't like the light is bright enough to guide anyway....It isn't as if the light can be seen say from outside of sheets, but I just think it's a stupid, battery wasting, feature. Secondly, it is made of plastic. Hard plastic. Some people don't like that feeling (I hardly notice it, but I understand. The other issue is that this toy can be fragile if put into the wrong clumsy hands, like mine. I dropped the toy once and the grooves around the battery part chipped, so the top only screws on in a very specific way and it only goes one speed. Thirdly, this is not by any means a silent toy. I wouldn't call it "loud" or "noisy", but if I'm home with people around I usually wait until shower time and use it and the noise of the shower covers it up. Lastly, and probably the make or break part of this toy is because of its power, the batteries on this thing DRAIN. Because it is one of my favorites, I decided to invest in a Double AA rechargeable battery set, and it has seriously come in handy. If you aren't into that type of dedication, I'd say skip this toy. I found that when I was using regular AA batteries (two), within three uses the power levels of the toy drastically changed. It is unfortunate, but when you think of the amount of power this little guy has, it makes sense that it drains. Think of it as an actual Hummer-the car. It's gonna use a lot of energy but damn can this thing go!
