Fire - g-spot vibrator by JoyDivision - review by Maiden

The Fire is a vibrator in the JoyStick line made by JoyDivision. It is listed as a g spot vibrator due to its curved tip, but I found that it is just too flexible for this use. This may be due to my particular anatomy, but I couldn't hit my g spot as I expected to be able to do with this type of curve. The tip pretty much straightens out when inserted, which was a huge disappointment for me.

The saving grace for this toy comes with size and the power of the motor. While the too flexible shaft makes it next to impossible for it to hit my g spot, its generous length and girth make it very filling. The strong vibes are easily felt internally and are equally stimulating on external parts of the body. The curve can be nice to hug your hood and clit area if held just right. I love the vibrant red and yellow and the silicone is much softer than other silicone products I have. The material has a lot of give to it and because of this I feel safe letting my man use this on me. He can sometimes get too enthusiastic with my toys, but he has used this on me many times and hasn't hurt me with it. The material holds temperature as well, so holding this under hot or cold water can add different stimulation to your play time.

The Fire is made from medical grade silicone which is one of the safest materials for sex toys. There is no smell or taste, and no texture at all. It is smooth and soft, so users who don't like texture will be pleased by this. There is some drag to it though, making lube a must to avoid friction and irritation. Beginners should not have any problems with the texture, but may find the size intimidating. The material is very flexible, which can be great if you want to have the curve internally and bend the toy up to stimulate your lips and clit. However, the flexibility is not so great when you are trying to make the curve work for your g spot.

I love the overall design of the Fire, I just wish the curve had worked better with my g spot. Size queens like myself will not be disappointed with this toy. It is 8 inches in total length with 6 and 3/4 inches being insertable. It measures 5 1/4 inches around which is pretty wide. Measuring from the side it is 1 5/8 inches wide but the side that becomes the top when you insert this with the curve pointed up, it measured almost 2 inches. This is due to the fact that this toy is kind of flattened from the middle of the shaft to the tip. This was a shape I have never seen in a vibe and I do like the way it feels, especially when I use it externally to lay flat on my clit. I almost reminds me of a HUGE tongue!

As far as discretion, it is not a realistic penis shape, but it definitely looks like a sex toy. It does come wit a nice silver drawstring bag to store it in, so hiding it won't be too hard. As for travel though, it would be up to you if you wanted to chance it. I have never traveled with big sex toys, so I don't know if you can see what it is on an x-ray or not, but it is too big to keep in your purse.

The vibrations are easily turned on with the dial base on the end where the batteries go in. It starts out low and gradually gets to high as you turn the dial. The dial can get slippery and hard to manipulate if your hand is covered in lubes or other wetness. It is not waterproof, but is splash proof. I have had no problems using this in the shower or cleaning it. Water has not gotten into the battery compartment. The highest setting is pretty powerful and is extremely quiet for the strength. I would compare it to my Iconic Bullet on the highest setting. You definitely can not hear it through a closed door unless you turned it on high and sat it on a hard surface. Even then, it isn't very loud.

This runs on two AA batteries which were NOT included, but I like using my own batteries anyway. You simply turn the base to change the batteries and I haven't had any issues with the cap being loose or coming off during use. I have used this about 5 or six times and haven't had to replace the batteries yet.

Silicone is so easy to clean! The only problem with it is that it picks up lint and hair like mad. I wash this before and after use with warm water and liquid antibacterial hand soap. You could use toy cleaners, wipes, or a diluted bleach solution. As with all silicone products, it is recommended you use only water based lube. I store it in the bag it came with.
